So im making my once a month trip from my home in the north Tampa area to West Palm Beach Florida, i leave at 5:45 am so its dark and headlights are on, impressed by the headlight harness mod and new osram blubs recently installed. I get to yeehaw junction and its time for cruise control and get a little break. Hit the button, cruise light comes on let of the gas and nothing, cruise wont engage wtf, ok whats the last maintenance i performed? oh yeah headlight harness mod, well its pinky out lets turn off the headlights and try it, bingo it works now, ok now lets turn the headlights back on, soon as i did the cruise control kicked off immediately. That cruise control module must be really sensitive, anyone ever experience this? Only using one original headlight plug to trigger relays for harness, do i need to put a dead bulb in the other unused original plug? Went through the search bar pretty extensively before asking, looking for answer, any thoughts?.

Great questions, I wont be able to troubleshoot till first week in February, working offshore at the moment not near truck, I see where your going (clock spring) good idea thank you. Did have a problem about a year ago while driving with cruise on anytime i changed lanes “turn signal used” the cruise would kick off, exercised search bar here and found the answer, trailer harness converter box, removed it and cruise worked as advertised. Exercised search bar for this new problem but no joy….first time in a long time.
