Ford GM and Dodge still sell single cab fullsize trucks. Don't it have something to do with wheel base, as to how they can sell those trucks they even have V8s in them.

All Toyota has to do is bage a single cab Tacoma a 4Runner that's designed to be a 5 or 7 passenger SUV, claim there a shortage on seats, rear doors and hatches. Throw a long bed on the chassis and call it good.

I think I agree generally. It looks good at first glance but I am getting tired of the increasingly angry/aggressive attention seeking vehicle styling. I'm hoping the lower models can tone it down a bit..or, maybe not, and I'll stick with fixing what I can of my 3G's shortcomings.

I agree. Why couldn’t they make the hood like this? Found this rendering on Reddit. It’s 90% of what the actual truck looks like but just toned down. (Ignore that this is a trail hunter - just saying this looks really good on the front end)

Still holding out for official press intro, but the pic looks good. I was worried about the styling after all those mule shots. Can’t wait to see how it DRIVES though.

I’m glad it goes, because Chevy came out swinging with the AT4/ZR2. They look tough!

Another hood scoop that does nothing?

I'm sure other angles will change my mind, but at the moment, it's not that much of a bombshell difference like when the 3rd Gen was released.

What I'm REALLY interested in is if diffs are locked all the way around and higher payload. The Trailhunter trim/package with ARB gear straight from the factory is really going to help with the step forward here.

    Badass no doubt.

There’s no way it’s getting 35s from factory though.

Anybody notice the 3 horns on the rooftop? I know the center is the antenna for sure.

Looks great! I dig the two tone thing going on - A fan of the white roof on FJ's - adds a ruggedness feel to it. Wheel flares are nice, though I do wonder about the shine? Tacoma style fishmouth grille is good - NOT TUNDRA - that has not worn well imo. And yes the scoop lives just to taunt you haters - it's fake and it's glorious. I like the "aggressive" looking hood, after all who wants a Honda?

That's actually REALLY close huh. The only seriously discernible place it's "not right" is the top edge of the mirrors, honestly.

Another thing I don't really understand, and it's purely aesthetic, but what's w/ the black A/B pillar but body color C? Not a fan and hoping that can be optioned out. Are there renders out there that show all body-colored pillars/roof?

It's probably just an available color scheme that has to be optioned-in, at least I hope. It's popular on some SUV's - the Volvo XC40 comes to mind, the FJ, I think some of the Chevy suv's - but I think it's just on the higher trim ones, and an additional cost option even there as well. I can't imagine them expecting everyone wants to have a two-tone truck haha.
