4th gen looks flat out awesome, love 3rd gen look, can believe they actually made it look even better.
Wonder if trail Hunter will have dedicated color as on the pro’s. That would be cool.

if that is indeed how it will look, it is better than expected for the most part. the fender flares are hideous.

let's hope they deliver with a good powertrain, and access cab with six foot bed and manual transmission options.

I just hope the horsepower and torque is better. Going to St Louis and back with a jet ski coming back I averaged 16 loaded. Anytime a slight hill approached my speed couldn’t even hold 70mph. But at least I looked good doing it right?

That looks badass and it doesn’t look like a Tundra!! Once the kinks are worked out I’d buy it. Like posted earlier, I wonder how the SR will look. Either way from a stylistic perspective, Toyota hit it out of the park.

Does anybody else think Toyota made it that easy to find those pictures like that? I think it might actually look a little different and those pictures are there to troll us. I mean, they've been doing that so far...

Last I checked, the photo was deleted. I have little doubt that wasn’t THE photo. The actual “reveal photo” may change now though. Some intern probably uploaded it, to be linked to/used later or something.

Dollars to donuts, this pic is 100% legit (plus the source). Just like the Brazilian Patent leak, the second I saw it I knew it was no 3rd party fan boy render, plus so close to the EV model they showed prior EV event (gag - enough w/ actually coal powered vehicles shoved down out throats by top down pressure). You saw the pic/ad where Toyota put "Brazil Patent Office" on one of the distant brick buildings - makes you wonder if they are having fun or the leak was released on purpose (as they do pay attention to comments)?

    Too much to ask if I want a DCLB 4X4 SR5 M/T?

Toyota - You must be joking. You must pay us TRD money for your manual.

I don’t like it, I don’t hate it. Trucks don’t have to be good looking to be useful.

I do hate the fake vents.

I also don’t like how Toyota is making the hood taller than the waistline of the bed, I know that none of these engines are that big to necessitate that.

Also, not sure how the “trail hunter” is going to fit into any of this?

Won't take long for MesoJDM to 3d print some replacement vents that work.

Those wondering why they made it bigger: https://me.engin.umich.edu/news-events/news/cafe-standards-could-mean-bigger-cars-not-smaller-ones/

"At issue was this: Some companies offer full model lines, from cars to large SUVs and pickups, but some don’t. How could there be a overreaching fuel-economy standard that penalized companies like Ford and GM, while carmakers that sold only smaller cars effortlessly abided by the rules? So the concept of vehicle footprint was added. Models that ran large, crossing specific length-by-width thresholds‚ would have less ambitious fuel-economy targets. While the Obama administration has pushed for more aggressive CAFE numbers, the amended regulations retain the footprint-based leniency towards bigger cars and light trucks.

The result is a loophole, allowing the entire auto industry to sidestep some of the more painful efficiency requirements by inflating vehicle footprints. And historically, drivers almost always lean toward larger vehicles. “In general, if everything else about the vehicle is the same, consumers prefer the bigger one, with the roomier interior,” says Kate Whitefoot, a senior program officer at the National Academy of Engineering and the lead author of the paper (she was a doctoral student at the time of the study). Combine a regulatory loophole with a built-in, well-known customer choice, and the industry lurches towards the inevitable: larger models and more light trucks."

MPG standards go up per CAFE law, but Automakers make use of the vehicle footprint clause to circumvent having to research energy efficient tech to comply.

Someone should just literally make a model/trim that is *meant to come with* 37's...but stick 245/75/16's on it so that it passes all the applicable mpg requirements, etc...and literally every person that buys one just slams some aftermarket wheels and 37's on it, calls it a day.

Kinda like Super Duty’s. Leveling kit fits 37s no problem.
