I don't know, it seems possible. They may drop the Tundra V6 in there a bit detuned, possibly lower the output of the hybrid battery, and next year the Tundra hybrid output will increase.

 

Seems possible especially with those ARB shots.

 

Wait till the aftermarket makes the wide fender flares for the 3rd. gen.

I agree, they need to crank up the power to some serious levels or at least to give us some options for more power.

 

I like it!! I would just like to see a way more powerful V6 in it, at least a option to compete with the new Ford Raptor option on the Ranger that's coming out.

The initial image spec is not too bad. I like it - albeit a bit too "transformer-ish" with all the angles and hex features. Nicely executed Toyota. Better than I expected.

The above spec looks quite fugly. The Gen 4 also screams for black something on the wheel wells. The monochrome / small wheels 'plain' look is severely lacking. It just looks unfinished - Same as in the case of the tundra...

I'll happily wait for the full-electric tacoma...

Pretty excited for this new gen... looking to swap out the 5th gen (4runner) and move into a taco!

 

I like it but with the new AT4X and other fun stuff coming out from other manufacturers I have feeling this will be, like the Tundra, a disappointment.

 

Been looking at this 4th gen for a while and it looks like a Tacoma render on the current Hilux.

 

The smaller grill makes it look like it's morphing into a Ranger................ ( not that the Rangers, Colorados, and Canyons didn't copy the Tacomas lines)
It does look pretty awesome though.

 

you forgot the frontier, a poorly executed, direct ripoff, haha

 

I mean there is no greater attempt-to-copy a Tacoma than the new Frontier though.
