With this much snow tbhis early it sucks. The trees still have their leaves so the r getting really heavy. I have had 3 in my yard fall already and we r suppossed to get 6+ more inches and high winds. One fell across my driveway wrecked a fence and stone wall, its prob 24" diameter and 60' llong. A few fell in my back yard one smashed my deck. Branches r coming down all over. One took out my power lines and a few are on my garage roof. Not good. We have a baby due any day

Chris. Jillian and I got lucky, no trees on the house but they came damn close. Street was blocked for a while but got the chainsaw out to move it at 4am. Jillians dad came over yesterday to help clean up, its a mess. Still no power, running generator at times to keep the fridge and freezer from going bad and the house warm (luckily I got gas the night before, wasn't happening yesterday)

Pudge, I know how you feel. I was a nervous wreck hearing all the trees around me falling. Good luck on the cleanup.

was worried about what happened to you. removed trees that could damage the house. didn't really want to, but am glad I did. your area got a lot more snow than we did. sounds like you got a mess to deal with.

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
Back at work so I can post.
Well we are phucked  Almost a foot of snow in total had come down by me. On Saturday wet snow caused many people to slide, and end up in the ditch. Many trees are down. I counted 10 trees on power lines in the distance of 2-3 miles. Thats just one road by me. Power is out for almost everybody and there are cold temperatures.
My daughter developed fever on Saturday as soon as snow started coming down. I had to make a trip to CVS mid storm which turn out to be craziest 15 miles I have ever made.

I lucked out. Decided to spend the night at work Saturday for an early morning shift. Get back home to find a tree laying in my parking spot. Still without power but have plenty of propane for hot meals on my coleman stove.
