Funny thing, I had zero problems with my truck. I loved it. I just wanted to get back into a car as my DD.

Those leaking rear diffs are good to lube the bottom of ur truck to prevent rust.

I have a 2016 4Runner Trail Premium. It is not on the airbag recalls. No papers were presented and signed when I got it at the end of September 2016.

    Sorry yours is.

Unfucking real. Sorry to hear that Stan, hope it gets resolved soon.

I will say you guys with 3rd Gen trucks with problems, I feel for you. I wouldn't have the time nor patience for the damn dealer to fix this shit. I understand first year model issues (I've owned my share of 1st year sports cars, I feel the pain) but I've never seen the sheer number of different TYPES of problems. Then to hear this crap from the dealer would send me over the edge.

You Sir are a better man than me. I hope you get satisfaction soon Stan.

Thanks for the info. I will look at my file when I get home. I'm pretty sure there was no disclosure by the dealer and Toyota at the time of my purchase last September.

I'd be less than inclined to give this dealer my business if that was their stance. While they might sit on the trade for a while longer than they'd like to, they'd still get the sale and presumably future business by taking care of you.

As stated, they are within their right to not buy your truck because of the recall. It would cost them other opportunities for that money and interest if they finance out that kind of thing. They have no idea how long it will be until they will be able to sell it, way too much risk of tying up 30k for a long time.

That being said you are well within your rights to tell them to go F themselves and that you will never do business with them again. Personally, I think I would relax, throw a bunch of miles on that loaner (like seriously, use it ANY time you can), and get an M3 whenever they sort out your diff.

They did end up buying it after the recall went from 'pending' to 'fix available'

I have a feeling they will be sitting on the truck for a while waiting for some stupid gaskets. I think I got $200 less than if the recall was done, but whatever.

I ended up buy a very nice '15 M3 -- picked it up yesterday.

Well you got rid of your turd gen. You're now required to exit stage left and you are no longer welcome in the Turd Gen section :D:broccoli:

Ehhhh. Think of all of the millions of vehicles on the road that have never popped an airbag. But every leaking rear axle has the potential to seize while youre going 85 down the highway. So I can see both sides.
