MT trucks don't have push button start.

My TRDOR MT doesn't have one either. Wondering if that is a MT thing. Nice knob though, OP!

Do you need to know, or care?
Believe that's for cranking the motor with the clutch lock-out to get you out of trouble. Wouldn't work well with the push button.

That makes sense though since you don't want to leave your truck in neutral.

I read somewhere and can't find the comp who makes a auto-start aftermarket for manuals so I'm confident it can be done. Not interested myself, had it on a previous vehicle and didn't find it as exciting as most folks.

Nailed it. Plus you don't want the truck in your living room if you forget to press the clutch pedal in

seems all the above is true for MT functionality. but also the MT crowd probably doesn't give much of a F about it, maybe some, doubt most care. yet another opportunity for the bean counters.

OK, I'll actually comment on the shift knob.. :D It looks nice! How does it feel in your hand vs the stock one? Where did you get it?

Because if they can keep the truck from starting when you turn the key but don't push the clutch in, certainly there's no way they could prevent a push to start from starting without the clutch in...

hmm... I missed the part where he had a '17 TRD Pro.. that may be the stock knob on that one.. I was going to say I was impressed with the build quality if it was aftermarket!
