Are these things worth the money? They're very expensive. Need a new sleeping pad for camping, anything inflatable I will not consider. Was looking at the Foamy.

I bought a HEST Foamy a cpl months ago (the wider version), have yet to use it but am breaking it in over 5 nights of camping next week, out of the back of my truck. I'll report back afterwards how it went.
It is pricey but I had $180 of REI gift cards I was able to throw at it.

It is replacing a Klymit blow-up sleeping pad meant for backpackers, so I am guessing this thing will be luxurious in comparison

Well, 5 nights in the books....

The HEST Foamy was awesome. Most comfortable mattress I have slept on by far for camping, maybe even in general. I toss and turn constantly (6 '0 190lbs FWIW) and never came close to bottoming out. It is soft but also has a firm base to help protect my bad back. Never woke up sore. The only negative I can think of is the material on the top of the mattress seems pretty thin. I can see that ripping eventually. Will need to pick up a fitted sheet for it to protect it. Few pics below, you can see it just barely fits in my DCSB but with the tent I use it's perfect.

Thanks, you just cost me $300. Hell I like laying on the floor sometimes watching movies.

They are super fast to put up. It's like 2 mins once you get the hang of it. Take down is even quicker.

I'm in the same boat. Im trying to get the wife into camping, and we HAVE to have some type of foam mattress. Inflatable is out of the question due to dogs. Google hasnt been much help, since only the products that pay the most get pushed to the top of the "review" list. I know they are out there, just hard to find. I'm open to any type of foam mattress. Also seems like most of these products are geared towards ultralite backpackers, rather than car and truck campers

@Shwaa thanks for the write-up, pics and review. I think I am going to get one of these for the travel trailer. I was considering a custom semi mattress for the trailer but this looks slick.

thanks for this review, I’ve been eyeing these but have had a hard time justifying the price. My back is bad as well and really need something that wont immobilize me for days after camping.
