2012 ONLY Hewitt-Tech Secondary Air Injection Bypass kit

Up for sale is a barely used secondary Air Injection Bypass kit, good for 2012's ONLY!

This kit comes with the module and the starter trigger wire already shortened to size to reach the fuse box with a little bit of extra slack just in case. It would be best to run this alongside the main harness along the firewall toward the brake booster then downward toward the fuse box.

The adhesive has already been used so it is not as sticky as it was when new, some Velcro or some industrial grade adhesive would work.

For air injection pump block off plates, contact @Roostfactor as mine were retained in my system after removal. He makes and sells them for cheap.

Asking $210 shipped. The module sells for $350 before shipping, so this is quite a deal.

This will remove the Secondary Air Injection codes causing you to go into limp mode.

 

Can I ask why you are selling? Been looking at this kit for a while

 

I switched out to HPTuners and it had the ability to turn off the Air Injection system. Of course that came at a much higher cost, but I needed legitimate tuning for the truck since my supercharger is modified so it was a win win for me.

 

Is there any reason why it’s 2012 only? I’d figure it’d fit 2012-2015.

According to Hewitt Tech it is a 2012 exclusive item due to the PCM strategy at key off that 2012 had versus the other years which ran the air pump in a different fashion.

 

2013+ pumps run at the end ....when you turn the truck off.

2012 is at start up.
This tricks the system into thinking the temp is below a certain temp (can’t remember the exact number) for a split second at startup thus never turning the system on to throw codes.

It is all plug and play, the block off plates are absolutely required. It prevents exhaust from accidentally leaking through the valves and possibly burning things that shouldn't be burnt.
