If I lived in the south my truck would look almost exactly like this. Well done.

Thanks! I lived in Vermont about 20 min from the Quebec border for 10 years. Had my 4x4s there, but got tired of cold and snow and made my way to south Florida. No more 4WD :)

Yeah I'm in Northern ontario, about 2hrs from Gatineau. I occasionally need my locker and crawl control to get down my driveway in the winter lol.

Its a BakFlip G2. Basically the same as the MX4 except a gloss finish. One of the reasons I got this particular cover was the low profile, and because you can access the entire bed when needed without removing the cover.

Yes, everyone of them has been 4x2. I’ve never had a need for 4x4. The closest I’ve ever come to wanting a 4x4 was when I recently found out that a beach access road that peaked my interest is restricted to 4x4 only.

Yes, agree, that RWD is fine for all of my current driving situations. Only time I've ever used 4wd in the past was for driving on the beach. I've owned three 4wd vehicles in the past, an XJ Cherokee, Suburban and Trooper and never needed 4wd except for the beach and I don't do that anymore so 4x2 for my Tacoma.

I got mine for work and daily driving to and from work, and I knew it would handle the boat we were going to get. No regrets for me.

Looks good. Don't see many 2wds with roof top tents out in the wild. How do you like that setup?

It's great. I have gone in some places I thought I would get stuck for sure and she just drove right through. Airing down, added weight (Tent and gear) and turning off traction control always helps with grip. I do mostly SoCal desert roads and forest roads so I don't really need 4X4. Sure it would be nice, but I need to drive my truck to work everyday too. It keeps me from going too big out there lol. Check out all my DIY mods on my Youtube channel. I haven't uploaded in a while, but there are some good ideas IMO on there.

This is probably the works case scenario terrain my truck will ever see, so I am good with my 4x2 choice. When it comes time to replace the OEM Toyos I may go with the Michelin LTX AT2 so I have a little more aggressive tire, but since 95% of the time this truck will be on pavement that's about as aggressive as I would go. Don't want to give up comfort and noise reduction for something I will only need 5% of the time.
