Yeah the PRO is very nice. Saw the same one at the auto show. The V6 is the same in all the Tacomas and everyone has different opinions.

BTW, if you want to retain that feeling of not wanting to mod it I suggest staying away from this site.

You'll find a lot of pro owners thought the same thing. Then they still ended up modding their pro's lol. This site will destroy your wallet and chisel away at any financial logic/sense you may have.

Well I went to test drive a trd sport and talk to them about getting the pro. Test drive was good they are pretty cool trucks. Everyone at the stealership fell in love with my ss and I was sure I would get a decent trade in value. So we sat down and started talking numbers and the guy told me it would be at 6-8 months before they could even get their hands on a trd pro and then he told me trade in value on my truck. 8,500 I almost lost it, it's a 2003 ss awd supercharged with 88k it's a pretty mint truck. So long story short guess I'm not getting a trd pro unless I can sell my truck private.

Yikes, thats a horrible trade offer. Ya I would shop around. I had to drive 4 hours to get a decent trade offer for my 2014 Sierra when getting my 15.

Ya I guess I'll just keep searching pretty disappointed though. I feel like the dealership lost out big time tho in giving me that bogus offer I told them I could do 15k for my truck plus throw down 8k oh and my credit score is outstanding.

Start by putting your Cheby on CL or even eBay. In the mean time, do some browsing around this forum and learn as much as you can about the Tacos before you buy a Pro. Unless you want the inferno color. Can't blame you on that. Titz

I posted my truck on the sss forums hopefully I'll get some bites.I really like the pro's the way they come I'm not trying to make it a offroading beast and I am definitely not trying to make it go fast.

I would never trade in a vehicle. Dealers always low ball the crap out if you. For example if the dealer offers 5k for your vehicle you can probably sale it for 8k on the street or more.

OMG, tell that dealer to go pound sand.
Of course they will come back to you and give a one day only out the door price of $36,000.
If they do this tell them to go pound more sand.

I think I am late commenting on the fact that you were going to talk to the dealer about a trade. My recommendation for anyone who wants to trade their vehicle is NEVER tell them initially that you are trading. They will always ask you in the first 60 seconds if you have a car to trade. This is because they use that trade value as a way for them to make $$. ALWAYS say no trade up front. Then, after you have negotiated the price of the new car, THEN ask "how much will you give me if I traded my other vehicle". You have a number in your head. After they give you the LOW value for your car, you tell them you will make the deal right now if they hit your number (it must be reasonable and not high end retail value). If they say no, then just say ok let me know if you change your mind and walk out. Tell them maybe the Chevy dealer will do it because the Colorado is kinda cool. Within two days you will have your deal.
