Hey all, Just picked up a 2002 Tacmoa TRD off-road over the weekend. Going to be my new daily driver, since the Tundra drinks sooooo much running around town.

My prediction, if you don't need the Tundra to tow..............

You'll be disappointed that while better MPG comes from the Tacoma, it won't be enough better to justify it as a 2nd 'gas saver' vehicle.

    You'll sell the Tundra.

Then buy a Prius or other eco ride for the daily driver, relegating the Tacoma to fun duty.

Don't wait too long to decide. Gas prices will bloat again, and suddenly folks will be avoiding gas guzzlers like the plague, and the prices on the sippers will soar.

The tundra has been my main vehicle and the family and vacation, and hauler. It will now be the vacation vehicle and heavy hauler at the farm. Both of my boys can stretch out in the back cab of the tundra with the dog and still have plenty of room for stretching out. All the luggage goes under the tonneau cover.
I'm not so sure the tacoma will handle the double axle trailer and JD 970. It might, but I haven't tried yet. lol
