Saw the forecast for an inch of snow on Wednesday.

I'm going to see if my former co-worker would help me replace my lower control arms this weekend or next.
We are going to need a sawzall.

 

I'll be back at it in the spring. Covid put me through the ringer this fall.

Update on my lower control arms. One former coworker is busy with kid stuff and the other one hasn't gotten back to me.

Is there anybody with access to a garage (if done in the Winter) and a sawzall to help me with lower control arm replacement?

edit: I'll be going to Harbor Freight when I get paid next week to buy a sawzall and blades.

Anybody doing CMC'S in CT? way premature but thought I'd start getting ducks in a row now.

 

I got mine done at Flashback welding in winsted around 1.5 years ago and it's held up great

 

Most likely, my truck is hard to miss

 

I don't have access to a garage but I have e cut off lowers before. The main thing is DO NOT skimp on the blades. The red ones from Diablo are good as well as the Milwaukee Torch brand. Get the ones for hardened steel. I have a sawzall if you want to borrow it. Replace with OEM Cam bolts and antiseize the crap out of them.

 

I have all new OEM bolts, cams and nuts and lower arms to do the job. I still need to pick up anti-seize. I'll probably get that when I buy the saw and blades.
