It is nice up there but I would not want to live there . Winter is too long as it is here ! Been all over Vermont when I drove Tractor trailer for Hannaford. Made a delivery on Memorial Day weekend and there was snow on the ground from the night before screw that nonsense.

There is a knocking noise that some people think is suspension related but it’s not. We see this from time to time. I just happened to get them both

Finishing the wires on my mirrors this weekend along with doing the inner tie rod and possibly wiring the center switches so I can start putting my interior back together.
I also have a bracket design (in my head) that I need to sketch so I can mount the GPS antenna.

Only an 1/8th of an inch of rain yesterday. Heat wave returns next week . 90+*

 

My wife and I used to go for weekends in November when we first moved out together, but the lack of work kept us from making the move up there. And who knew sleepy Burlington was such a hot bed!

 

Burlington is a great town...great food, beer, music

 

Well... today is "D Day" just about for me.

The backstory...

I play soccer on a team, for fun sort of speak, in a pretty competitive league down by White Plains airport every Saturday night. The league is mainly Hispanic, and my team is maybe one of two that is not Hispanic. This league is pretty legit actually. There is even money for 1st through 3rd place. This league started back in June, with 1 to 2 games per team every Saturday. There was one Saturday somewhere in June where they were canceled due to weather, but turned out it didn't even do anything.

Our team finished first overall, and last Saturday the playoffs started. We won the first game (round of 16), and played another one the same day (quarter finals), which we won in PKs after being tied 2-2, with me (I play goalie) saving the final PK to win it. Tomorrow are the semifinals, and if we win, the final as well.

Well... here is where shit gets "crazy", and I am heartbroken over it.

If the one weekend that got canceled didn't happen, it would have ended last weekend. I booked my flights to Portugal way back in March/April, for the end of the month, just in case because of this. So needless to say, I am devastated about missing the end since there is so much at stake, and we've made it so far.

I even went as far as checking how much it would be to possibly change my flights, but it would be an arm and a leg. The fees, plus I'd have to pay the difference since they are almost triple now of what I paid back then.

I'm hoping for a "miracle". Hoping they ask for volunteers to stay back. If they do, I already told the misses I'm stepping up and asking if they can put me on a Sunday flight, I'll do it.

OMFG. I can't take this anxiety and stress over this whole thing.

I was on the 2x plan last year too. Skipped the last couple weeks, but yesterday I had to cut the back - grass was knee high where my neighbors back yard washes me out. Everything else still short & crispy.
