The neighborhood bear is awake.

Saw him this morning when I was getting the kids out of bed.

He/She is a big boy/girl.

We had 3 of them last year... I'm sure the others are around as well already.

Realized that I had the wrong size battery lugs for my new battery terminals, so I ordered the correct ones yesterday. I need to pick up a couple ring terminals (today) for my fuse/relay box so I can finish that thing.

Winter is back

It was windy last night, and heard it's supposed to be windy today.

ARGH

 

The wind here was wild around 630pm yesterday, supposedly some over 40mph

 

More rain predicted for Saturday, statewide. Some parts of CT expected to receive 2” to 4” of rain.

 

Oh joy. Good thing I rerouted my gutter spouts after the last psuedo-monsoon

 

Got some snow in Collinsville last night.


In other news, wife put her notice in this week, last day was yesterday. Been working together at the same company since 2012. It’s where we met. Not a whole lot of good to say about our office the last couple years, so I am excited for her to move onto this next opportunity, but this place is going to suck that much more without her around. Feeling it already day one without here here.

Onto bigger and better things I'm sure Mike. And who knows... maybe it'll drive you to pursue something else as well and get the heck outta dodge.

 

Been grinding it out man. Got a promo from team lead (managing 3 underwriters) to assistant vice president- team manager (now managing a team of 6 underwriters and the new business portfolio for my segment across the country) but not too happy with the pay for the additional responsibility and stress. Never thought about the prospect of leaving but seeing what the market is paying underwriters with no management responsibilities has me considering it. Hoping the right opportunity comes along, or that I start getting paid for the role.

I could go on and on, but i wont. Just going to wallow in my pain for now haha.
