Morning all. Work is going to be insane the next 3 days. Good times.

 

Memorial Day weekend folks.

Spent yesterday at Museum of the Air Force in Dayton Ohio. Two hours today to Indy and race weekend

Got the OK from the inspector for the new gas line for the propane stove.
that'll get hooked up tomorrow.

It'll be nice to have a working stove again.

 

Replaced the heat shield above the cat after work.

 

You tore mine off when it rattled and we threw it away....

 

Did you get a new one yet or are you going to leave it off?

PS: How's the trip so far?

 

Traffic is fucking ridiculous today.

Left at around 1:30, and still not at the hotel yet. Said it's normally a 5 hour drive... Not today.

Stopped to feed the kids.

ARGH

 

It's that time of the year that I don't take the highway home (95 North) on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, people are usually heading to Mass or Rhode Island.

 

Funny thing. WFH today, I hear a tapping at the front door. Odd someone is knocking on my front door, odd I can be bothered to answer it - LOL. Was the next door neighbor, something about my tree with a bunch of pointing. Turns out a huge limb snapped off my tree in that storm & has been in his yard for (2?) days now. Oops, I normally walk the yard daily, but haven't since the storm I guess.

I could've told him it's his problem, but I feel bad knowing I'm going to turn in his rooster at some point this summer. Once my windows are open it'll be too much, all that crowing day & night.

After I got off work - I tackled that tree with my little electric chain saw & two extension cords. Took 3.5 hours but it's all chopped, stacked & gone from his yard. No trace it was ever there. I'm impressed with myself - making all that all gone that fast. Pretty damn impressive for a used up old man.

but that limb is the excuse I needed - my last 4 trees are gonna be goned this year. Nothing taller than shrubs here after.
just can't believe I didn't notice for days. Whoops.

 

yup - I worked from home today, wasn't willing to deal with 84.

Good morning CT. Looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend. Had some stuff fixed in my apartment yesterday (electrical/plumbing).

I don't think I'll be doing anything to the truck this weekend. I may give it a bath.

My 25 yo upright deep freeze crapped out last night.
my sister had a spare smaller upright that I moved here and managed to save all the important stuff ( a lot of Venison).

I'll be looking for a new one next week.

Stripes going on the Nova tomorrow morning.

That's how it usually is coming back from training (Parsippany, NJ). Once I hit the CT border, traffic is at a stand still.

Wow! Is it a nice one out there Fellas..... Almost no humidity currently

 

Pulled the sheets off my bed and started doing laundry. Just realized that they replaced the ceiling lamp in my bedroom. Didn't even notice it when I got home yesterday.
