Good morning. Happy Saturday.

While I was waiting for Amazon to show up, I looked through the anytime camera kit as I read the install guide.
I found a nice spot to mount the switching relay (top of the radio, screw that holds the bezel) along with a way to run the wires to the switch. I have to see if the radio will still fit with the relay where I have it.
If not, I'll have to find a spot in the truck for the relay.

Snow was practically dust, so cleaned it with the leaf blower. Then got carried away, and cleaned 4 of my neighbors driveways as well.

 

One step forward and two steps back.
The antenna wire I bought doesn’t fit the bracket. Have to order one from Midland.


At least I have the Auxbeam mounted.


I’ll see about where I want to run the wire into the cab and check out wiring the front camera.

I did finish putting primer on the sliders.

 

Thanks to @AllTacosFloat I was able to run the wire for the Auxbeam without too much trouble (he gave ma a can of silicone spray).

That’s what we got. It’s just about melted.

 

Pretty much, was just about 32F this morning. Was heavy wet snow. The roads cleared up pretty quickly as the day went on.

 

Found a nice spot to mount the front camera. Brought some tools home, now I have to remove the grille and drill the hole.

 

Ran the control wire for the Auxbeam through the large grommet on the drivers side of the firewall. I'll need to add a couple more wires (outside temp display, ACC for Auxbeam and the fog light relay wire.
I'll run the wire for the front camera where I originally had the GMRS antenna ran (small hole at the bottom of the booster). The switching relay won't fit, I'll have to find another spot for that. It hits the top of the radio surround.
The GMRS antenna will be run through the passenger side grommet.

Looks nice enough tomorrow to get some stuff done.

 

But don't worry because we will have a mod day at my house waaaaaaay before that.

A little then some and then I'll take my grille off and drill the hole for the front camera. There is a small piece of plastic that I will have to clearance for the nut. Brought my Dremel home along with some other tools.

I also think I developed a slight clunk in the L/F. Upper control arm bushings?

Guess who forgot to bring their drill home?
I did not drill the hole in the grille for the camera. I did do some Spring cleaning.

Seeing that I didn't have my drill and couldn't mod my grille like I wanted, I gathered all my airsoft gear and listed it for sale on an app on my phone.
Let's hope all of it quickly sells so I can buy a front bumper and winch.
