I started using the Cumberland farms smart pay. It's nice not needing to swipe the card and saving $0.10 per gallon, especially now that I need premium

 

Reminds me of when I knew nothing about turbo/supercharged engines. This one time, I bought a wrx, and when I picked it up for delivery I was surprised to learn I needed premium.

I was a initially annoyed, more so at my ignorance than anything else. But then the feeling of boost put a grin right on my face.

 

Yup, me too...I'm near the border, so I fill up in Mass. $2.16 a gallon

Morning everyone. Happy Friday eve. School delay, and delayed opening for daycare as well. Guess it's a bit bad out??

 

Maybe 1" of sleet with a coating of ice here. Schools have a 2hr delay here too.

 

2 minutes of cardio is good enough for me lol

 

LOL! I'm surprised I even had that to be honest. Being the goalie, especially when it's just a pickup game for fun, I don't really try to play too hard. Don't want to risk getting hurt, especially when I play in a co-ed league on Thursday nights. I'm sure tonight's "stats" will be much different. We're playing against the best team in the league, so I'm sure I'll be getting blasted at all game long.

 

I only get cardio in when my wife chases me

 

Got home about 22:30 last night. 4WD on my street & up driveway. No problems. Get out of truck & standing up the wiper arms / holding onto truck I fell down. Was holding the damn truck & still couldn't not fall.

Right now I'm putting off going outside & chopping a path so the mailman doesn't fall down.
In VT, the mailman wore boots & cleats. Miss that.

I just became goalie for my wife's co-ed team. Never was a goalie until 4 weeks ago. I thought the same thing as you, that it wouldn't really be that taxing, but my fitbit says otherwise.

 

Hope you're OK. It was kinda slippery out last night. Coming home from pickup soccer was a bit tricky.

 

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I try to take it easy when I play pickup. But when it comes to my co-ed league game it's a different story. For those I give everything I have, and then some.

When I left Brookfield last night I thought 'oh, not too bad'. Roads were good, was basically raining. All good down to exit 5.
Then heading up the I-84 hill to exit 4 everything froze over. Road became covered in thick slush/snow, rain turned to hard hail. Lucky me, lives in some sort of frozen pocket. I live on a bus route street, so always cleaned, but needed 4WD on my hill it was so thick & frozen.

Amazing what a difference micro geography makes in winter weather.

Yeah, I have to as well. This league is BONKERS competitive.

 

Same for the one I'm in. And, the team we're playing tonight seems to be by far the best team in the league; a bunch of young guns, run like crazy, college kids, one of which is son of a friend of my father whose son is part of the Red Bulls academy. FML!

 

Oof...That sucks... We have two teams like that. Luckily, our defense is SOLID. My wife was recruited to play semi-pro when she was younger and traveled to the UK/Ireland/ etc. for her defense. She never played semi-pro because she didn't want it to be her job, but she is amazing. It's fantastic to see the young guys look thoroughly defeated when she schools them. I love it.
