Give it some thought in time. I started when I was 40 years old and I love doing it. Been shut down for a few months though and it's killing me.

Morning everyone. Looking outside, in the dark, definitely looks like a heck lot of snow.

Interesting to see what my job decides to do. I'm 99.9% sure that my co-worker is going to say he's staying home, and working from home. I might do the same if he does and says it first.

 

Good morning all. Work is opening 2 hours late this morning so it looks like I'll be cleaning the driveway before work today.

 

10 inches + of the white stuff...Major state road closed by staties because sideways cars blocking the road, and mostly just one swipe by the plows on majority of roads. Watch it out there. On the plus side, I was just fine passing all 3 accidents I saw...

 

Just got back in from cleaning the driveway. Good amount out there for sure.

 

NOw I know why my snow thrower won't start - because fate smiled on your truck instead.

shoveled from door to mailbox to street, driveway apron before the plow dropping turn to ice. Cleared 2 trucks & 1 car & around them.
F' the rest of it, I've got 8x8 in the driveway - if they can't get me out through it I'm not going.
Wonder what it would cost to build a big-ass dome over the entire property?

LOL!!!!!! Don't really have anything planned for the Taco in the future, so I think it'll be OK.

 

A couple of years ago I bought a ShelterLogic portable garage to house my boat. It's 12' wide x 28' long and 9' tall. It was about $1700 and holds up to 2ft of snow load. Very nicely constructed with 2" round framing poles all powder coated. They have 3 levels of poly covering. Standard is 3 year warranty 7mil. I got the middle grade 10 year warranty 10 mil. The highest is 15 year 14 mil. You can get all different kinds of dimensions to fit your needs. Best part is you don't need a permit to erect it and not property taxable plus if you move you can take it with you. It's been working out great for my boat. I use it to store lawn furniture in the winter too.

I went so far as to run an electrical conduit underground from my main garage out to the shelterlogic garage so I have lights and an outlet in it too. There is an outlet for them in Watertown just north of Waterbury where I picked it up so no shipping cost.

So I busted my ass on the bike tonight, only for my FitBit not to pickup and auto track the fucking workout. FML!

I thought it would auto track, but didn't for some reason... Not sure why. Guess tomorrow night I'll have to manually start the workout tracking on it, and then turn it off.

But, according to the digital display on the bike, my heart rate was anywhere from 115 to 163 depending on how tired I was, and supposedly burnt 200 calories or so in the 25 minutes that I was on.

Not sure if I "believe" it, so tomorrow will be the true test sort of speak when I use the FitBit to track it.

 

What did it say about shoveling snow?

 

I know their stuff, saw it at an RV show. Real nice, well built 'temporary' shelters. I should look at that idea again. Didn't realize there was a 'local' outlet.
The new boat is making your Taco look kinda small. LOL.

I believe at least the calorie burn, no question. That's about what I can get on the treadmill in that time, depending on speed/incline. I don't jog or run on it.
