Hey Connecticut, our backs hurt

Yours is the first pickup that I've ever heard being passenger regs. I learned something new. Anyway, my combination reg is 156.00 for 2 years. My wife's car is something like 75.00 for 2 years. I guess if your listed as combination, you could change to passenger plates but that would take a trip to the dreaded DMV.

 

My dads F150 is registered like a regular car. No special commercial/combination plates. Everyone I work with has regular plates too.

 

Dealership switched the same plate over from my Saab 93 to my Tacoma so I don't have combination plates on mine. Registration was built into price at dealership when the truck was purchased so not sure how much it will be next time it's due

 

For some reason I don't get notifications when I'm tagged!

 

I'm on passenger plates.

 

All pickups in CT are billed by weight, personal or commercial. Can't believe they emailed me back on a Monday when they are closed. At least they were responsive. Gotta pay it.

 

It will be based on the weight of the truck.

Now I know from our first meet no one is really interested in beating there beautiful trucks up, and believe me neither am I and from what it looks like this place is EXTREMELY stock friendly so if your interested at all don't worry about your truck not being capable because they most definitely are. Hope everyone had a great Halloween.

Picked up a BPF cooling panel and Anzo smoked tail lights over the weekend from a member selling them. Getting them tomorrow it looks like.

Also got a killer deal on a set of 2013 OEM head lights from another member selling them, but waiting on him to get back to me with tracking info. Hoping I didn't get screwed. Was planning on using them to send in somewhere to get retros done.

Also trying to sell some stuff I've been accumulating to hopefully get some money back, to go towards that massive hit that the retros will be... hopefully.

 

I see the TW mod bug got you pretty good! I wouldn't worry too much on the tracking number if it's only been a few days (as long as you paid with PayPal)

BTW, Nepaug is mostly a network of dirt roads with a few muddy spots, water crossings. It was fun my first time out in my Jeep years back. I grew up in the same town.

 

Hit hard the minute I paid her off... OUCH!

Going to wait a few more days and see what happens with the head lights.

Figure i should post this here too. This is the plan for Sunday 11/6. 10am start. Should be a great day. There's plenty of youtube videos of Nepaug if you want an idea of what to expect. I also posted a couple good videos the NE wheeling trips thread a few days ago.

Above is the list of folks currently interested in the Sunday 11/6 wheelin' trip to Nepaug State Forest. Looking like a potentially awesome turnout! As far as meeting location/time, it looks like there is a diner super close to the trail entrance (1/4mile ish) we can meet at. Depending on how far everyone is traveling to get here (I'm about 45min), and how long everyone wants to wheel, we can either meet at like 10am and pack lunch, or hit the trail around noon. I'm open to suggestions for timing.

As far as communication goes, I've never been on a large group trail ride, so I don't have a CB and don't plan on having one before Sunday. As long as the leader and someone in the middle and rear have radios (CB, 2-way, whatever) we should be alright I would think.

Here is a link to the trail map. Satan's Kingdom is supposed to be a pretty good ride, and has a badass name. The rest of the trails look great too and probably have plenty of little offshoots for us to try.

I would be interested in going as well if if can get out there in time.

 

We plan to head into the trails at 10am, so I plan on being at the meeting spot at around 9:30ish. Head over to the NE trip planning thread where its being planned out. I'm going to get a "final" count tonight of who's planning on wheelin or showed interest and post in there later tonight to make final plans.
