Very jealous of those new uca’s and hardware. My hardware for the lowers are seized, and ive been debating oem vs aftermarket for the better half of a year now (dirt king w ball joint). Leaning towards oem’s due to cost at this point.

Im going in for an alignment Friday to make sure everything is decent for the trip; especially after tossing in the spacer last weekend to correct the lean.

Might look to pull the trigger on the lowers and new hardware soon.

 

Not doing UCA just replacing the LCA instead of replacing just the bushings. When I got my last alignment is when they told me the cam adjusters were seized up. For the LCA there's no reason not to use the OEM.

I got all of my OEM hardware from https://parts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/ at wholesale cost. LCA $260 each instead of $400 each. Give them your vin# and they built a cart for me to replace everything that was getting unbolted.

Did my ucas last year; the lcas are original with 123k; seized cams.

 

Also, there are some advantages for the dirt kings over oem. Beefier for wheeling; greasable ball joint; etc. Its just not enough for me to justify at the moment. Theres a big cost difference between the two.

The same thing happened to me last summer when both of my lower control arms and bolts were seized. I looked into aftermarket bolts and I have come to the determination that aftermarket bolts were absolute crap and went with OEM bolts for the replacements. When it came down to my lower control arms, I had Three options. I could either Buy new lower control arms that were OEM which were going to cost about $1000, pull out the bushings and replace them with energy suspension bushings but that route would've been a complete pain in the ass, or go with Dirt King lower control arms that had greasable zerk fittings. I went with the last option Mainly because We live in New England and uniball Ball joints were out of the question. I absolutely love my Dirk King lowers and I made sure to absolutely grease the crap out of my OEM bolts. It is nice to because when I grease my bolts, I also release the tension on my lower control arm bolts to grease the bushings and turn them to make sure that they don't seize up anymore.

 

I really want the dks, mainly for the point you make about the greasable ball joint, but if I can get oems at 260 a piece...
