Got my first snap on tool.

Been wanting a 6 pt 32mm socket for the nut on the spc uca’s. At the time on initial instillation, i settled for a 12 pt craftsman (only thing i could find at the time).

My brother works for the public works dept at one of the shoreline towns and is always buying stuff from their snap on dealer.

Wasnt cheap but good shit never is.

I've bought a couple snap on tools. Just hand tools and literally only a couple. I love them though, and if I ever won the lotto I'd buy everything they have and their entire "toyota" set.

If I had $1 for every 10mm socket I've dropped in an engine bay, have had roll away never to be seen again, or grown feet and walked I'd be able to buy...gee...maybe a bunch of 10mm sockets. I finally gave up a few years ago and bought a bag of them on Amazon.

 

Definitely a lottery item. No way in hell could I afford it otherwise. It was hard to fathom over 50 bucks for a single socket, but it was one I couldn’t easily find elsewhere, at least from a reputable company.

 

I spent like 300 on a small screwdriver that takes different heads and can change length.

I was going to comment how my wife even likes it but then I read that sentence again....

 

One of my neighbors is a retired Caterpillar field service technician. The big sockets were supplied by the company. When he retired he kept a couple of the big ones and uses them as individual NUT BOWLS when we watch football games together.

 

Looking at 3 leaf AALs, are the headstrong and icon packs essentially the same thing? And are there any other options worth looking at?
