This lovely hawk was hanging out by our place when I came home from work yesterday. We have been hearing it lately but haven't seen it. Adolescent and claiming its own area.
There were a bunch of small songbirds in the tree next to it chirping away and annoying it lol.

 

Did you guys get the crazy thick smoke sitting over any of your areas yesterday? It was a little hazy in the morning with a light smell. But by 2: 30p it was thick and you could smell the Smoke funk.

The first picture you can barely see the Otis elevator Tower and that's about half a mile away. The other one is at work looking across the campus.
I know that the street milling machine causes a lot of dust and smoke also smart-ass.

 

We got it in Western MA as well. It is actually "Blow over smoke" from the wild fires in the west.......Crazy right?

 

Ditto on the smoke and smell. Local fire departments were getting numerous calls and posted on their Facebook pages that it was a result of western wildfires. I-84 corridor looked like LA in the '70s.

 

That must be nerve-racking to be in a big building or something and you don't know where the smoke is coming from.

On another note, it hasnt even been a year and the dakars started squeaking like crazy. Ill fluid film them to see if that helps any. Might be looking for an upgrade at some point if it keeps up.

 

I've been pointing out the stupidity for some time now. It's like some coworkers walked in and said to themselves "work harder, not smarter".

I should've started looking for a new job the day I got home from back surgery. I don't know why I waited so long.

 

I've put my resume out there just recently because I finally had enough with all of the BS about work.

Probably should have done it earlier as well, but there was always that "comfort level" because of time off, routine, thinking things would maybe get better, or that it was just me that had an problem, etc.

 

Signed papers yesterday, did the drug test today.

This is similar to the gear boxes I'll be inspecting. A tad bigger than your 5 speed transmission.

 

Sounds all too familiar. Now I know that things get better when you make them get better.

Should have started looking a heck of a lot sooner.

 

When you negotiate an offer, ask for what you’ve earned or more. You only get one chance. I came in with 4 weeks at the new place (3 years ago). That’s their max they offer.
