I dunno about for you fella's, but yesterday was the NICEST day we've had in months here. No humidity, sunny but a slight breeze....The days that make it worth living !

I hope it turns out better than the first time I cut a huge hole in my fender, all the holes were off.

@crashngiggles will be helping me install it.

40's is just 30's with a little bit of cash in your pocket. You'll be fine.
That exam is nothing. You lay on your side, talking to the Dr. & a couple minutes later you're waking up with a little ache in your gut from some air that you pass pretty quickly. It's just so nothing.
Do take the day off for 'the evacuation'. It's messy, but if you're at home sweet home - really, it's just annoying.
If the doc tells you he took out a polyp(s), know that you just saved your life. It's so simple removing a polyp vs. cancer.

Colon cancer took my gram & almost took my cousin. Doing this is so nothing compared to what they went through.

Okay - back to fun truck stuff! :mudding:

So, I spend Sunday at a wedding and Hey Connecticut covers oil change fiascos, pizza v. apizza, El Kabong, Connecticut liquor laws, @Skierrichy lamenting turning forty...FORTY...I miss having a burger with @Brownmatthall only two miles from my house and...rectal exams.

    Did I leave out anything?

And on the subject of rectal exams, when I turned fifty I had my first colonoscopy. I had a tumor. Twenty eight radiation sessions, a combined twenty six weeks of chemo and two surgeries later I'm still here thirteen years later and loving life every day.

When you're due for a colonoscopy, DON'T WAIT! If I had waited six months I wouldn't be here to write this. Early detection saves lives.

@Johnny balls now you know why I said that

Welcome to your 40's. If you do not already have a mysterious ailment, one will be assigned to you shortly.

It's so true - In my 40's, I got reading glasses, orthotics, balding really started to accelerate, had 2 sist's removed, elbow surgery, tooth implant, and back started to go out on me at random. Most of it you just have to learn to live with. :sadviolin: So almost one for every year. Body starts failing for sure in your 40's. Can't wait to start my 50's next year.:yay:

Another footnote to the ct alky stores.

Up until recent years, ct was still under the bullshit Puritan/Pilgrim era "Blue Laws".

Up until the 70's ,retail stores couldn't even be open on a Sunday.

Booze stores (package stores or Packies for short) started opening on Sundays not long ago.
And there are set hours where you can purchase alcohol. Used to be 8pm, but now expanded another hour or two.

That's why you'll see a big window shade covering the beer section in a supermarket before or after "legal" hours.

There's actually still a few "dry" towns in ct that prohibit liquor sales.

    Friggin Puritans/Pilgrims. :bananadead::cheers:
