Leaving here Monday for Hammonasset Beach State Park

 

Check the park to see if they are open. Today at 4pm, the parks are making the camper leave.

Wow… Gas station ran out of gas earlier today.

 

Happened here in canton and at another one in new Hartford. Tsc out of gas cans. The world is ending.

 

People are acting like it... went into the supermarket today, that was a big mistake

 

Went to play soccer down in Purchase NY tonight, at the college.

Got suckered into playing by a Brazilian guy that I play pick up with on Mondays.

Apparently this is a Hispanic league mostly. Not full size field. 7 v 7, and smaller goals.

I missed last week's game because I was visiting my sister. They lost 5-1.

Tonight it started raining before the game, so we played in it. Won 3-0.

 

For real. I just went to the Walmart here in New Haven and all the shelves had been obliterated. Scored literally the last six free-range eggs in the whole place. There was no real meat left to speak of and there was one last bag of hash browns. Unreal.

Though other places, like Autozone, were deathly quiet this evening--nobody around since I assume they're doing their own version of hurricane preparedness.

Also, on the topic of Autozone, I noticed today there were big signs on all the walls outside that said basically "CT state law prohibits you from wrenching in the parking lot, don't do it etc." What's up with that? I guess maybe it is a little bit of an eye sore to see a bunch of oil all over the place when you have a parts store in town. But it also feels like there aren't a lot of places to do maintenance apart from an Autozone parking lot because everything is so built up. I apologized to the guys at Autozone about doing work in the parking lot anyway but they were like "it's fine, long as it's in the back, cops don't care."

Maybe a minority opinion here, but what are the chances the hype is all a little overblown? Been watching the surf report for Narragansett tomorrow morning and it started off with 18-20' waves and now it's down to like 10-12' (which is fine, I'll go either way because it's usually super low waves around here). So I wonder if it basically just gets windy and rainy for a couple hours and then that's it. Don't get me wrong, I definitely parked somewhere else tonight--my parking spot is under a big tree with bulky limbs that look like they could fall down if someone sneezes too loud, so I'm taking precautions same as everybody.

Time will tell I guess.

The race finishes at 10am our time. Perfect event to go through a hurricane. Lots of in car cameras on the PC and the race on the main TV.

 

What channel is it on TV?

 

Not on tv. Watch it on the motor trend app/website with subscription. Try getting the 7 day trial to watch it. There is an app on Amazon tv too.

 

I zoomed in on your pic, and says Eurosport up in the corner.

I think I get that with my iptv service. Gonna have to look.
