Good morning, up deep in NH for work today. Drive in was worth the hour and a half travel time lol, also today is my Friday

 

Question for the tech savvy on here.

I have a firestick 4k.

Trying to get an iptv apk file on it. Don't think I can download it from a Google drive account because I don't think it supports Google drive since there isn't an app on the app store, and if you access Google drive through the browser it says downloading is not supported.

Any one know of any other way to get a file up somewhere that I can download on the firestick?

I have an app called Downloader on the firestick that let's me put in a web address of where a file is located, to then download.

I think that is for a specific app already and a specific service. I already have an app for the service I use, just need to find a way to download that app onto the firestick.

I think, or guess, what I am looking for possibly might be some sort of cloud or host service that I can upload a file to, that gives me a web address for that file, so I can then access it and download it. Hope that made sense and I explained it correctly.

Do you have Dropbox account? It's a free cloud storage. You upload your file to your dropbox account and navigate to it with the Downloader app.

How does it work? I uploaded a file into it, and then it gives me a URL for it that takes me directly to it so I can download the file?

 

There's a couple of way to access your files. You can download an app to your phone or desktop. OR, which is what I think you'll want to do, you can access your files from a web address once you log into your account through a browser. It will be something like, https://www.dropbox.com/home/YOUR FOLDER NAME/FILE

 

Gotcha. I'll give it a try. Got nothing to lose at this point. LOL

t minus 8 hours until my first vacation all year!!!!

 

Work has me on a 4/10 schedule with Fridays off so I took today to start the process of putting the lift in. Realized very quickly how grossly unprepared i was lmao, but the 5160s are in!
