So this one is not as bad as being volunteered for something without being told you were volunteered but still job frustration with others just not doing their jobs.....

I'm a chemical process engineer - I was trying to order a chemical and the only contact info for the vendor was email. The only phone number I could find kept going to a fax machine (who still uses fax?). Anyway, I get an email response that the person I contacted does not handle that material. WTH? Why not direct me to the correct contact? So I respond back asking to be redirected. The next person says the material I am trying to order is x dollars per pound but does not tell me lead time or minimum order qty or how many pounds are in a standard container, all of which I had asked for in the first email. So I email back asking for this information again. The response is to not provide any of that info but instead ask me for "sold to" and "ship to" so they can process the order that I have not placed yet.

Why is it so hard for people to provide a proper response to simple questions? People are so completely incompetent, it just irks me the lack of common sense.

My co-worker and I always have a good laugh about examples like that, in our line of work of course, and say that reading comprehension is a BIG issue. At least where we work we feel like it is.

We answer the question, give the information they ask for, sometimes even more, and we get stupid replies back asking the same question.

Holy shit! People need to learn how to read.

nobody reads things anymore, it's pathetic and ridiculous when you have to tell another adult "no no slow down and actually read that" after their first responses only to get the blank look.

Even that is one thing but the lack of heads up is just a sticking point in this example. I got the voluntold thing a few years ago for a project..was some work above my pay grade but was pitched as a good door to move up, so at least there's that..though reality is that hasn't happened which is bullshit. That and a few things they neglected to tell us until it was in full swing.

I was always taught in service "I don't know" is never acceptable. I don't know, let me look into it. I don't know, I'll do more digging..something like that is different of course

That's why I starting leaving jobs, it's always "a way to get your foot in the door" or a "way to try on a new role". Too many unmaterialized promises, I've let my work ethic do the talking and if the company won't appreciate that another one will, most times they're pretty good but those bad ones sure do leave a bad taste in your mouth I know it sounds brash but if the companies time is money than so is mine. I'm always willing to put in the work and hours and sacrifice for a company that would stick their neck out as well.

Worst = you need a RTT
Best = how/why to use air bags vs a stiffer leaf pack in the rear suspension & fluid film

    Worst:
    1. Just buy what I have.
    2. RTT's are for everyone
    3. Simple, non research oriented answers based in belief not fact.
    4. The more expensive the suspension, the better it is.
    5. Buy ARB Dakars
    6. 33"+ tires will require no other modifications and your driving characteristics won't change.

    Best:
    1. Buy bed stiffeners
    2. Do your research, be patient, ask questions, stick within your budget and buy to what type of wheeling you plan on doing in the next 3-4 years, and don't be impulsive buying your suspension.
    3. Fluid Film or Woolwax 2x yearly.

Honestly, the best advice I got was @crashngiggles telling me to put my tires on the high points in the trail when in doubt on that sucker pond run. Definitely helped me learn how to pick a line through things since that was like my 3rd time wheeling ever

    @NUNO

I've been following your saga along with others about your working conditions, the up the downs, I personally have offered suggestions as have others, you have listened and given feedback both good and bad.

The choice is yours, and you have reached the fork in the road!

    " Take one!"

And good luck in your choice!

Sure, and if it turns out they held up their end of it then I have no issues. I can understand the wanting to see one prove oneself capable of doing more, and I'm the first to do that for a person who is willing to play ball.

Call it brash maybe but I think you have a very wise thought. Part of why I've stuck around is the perks plus figuring that situation would bear fruit. Plus at my age life is changing soon.

10 relays and 40  fuses.
My previous fuse block idea would have made the wiring a pain to design so I went with this.
The inverter and compressor that I want to install at a later date will have separate relays mounted under the hood.
