I shouldn't even admit this but recently read (too quickly) a news story that said "husband fatally shoots wife"
And.....because I did not slow down and actually read it.... I first read it as "husband finally shoots wife"

 

I'm starting to think that this person just has it out for me. Especially after the recent "events". It took everything I had not to send a completely different response than what I sent this morning. It really did. And the fact that the Mrs doesn't get it or understand (at least in my opinion) what I'm going through and doesn't support me (at least in my opinion) to just put in my notice makes me even angrier with this entire bullshit. Should have taken that seasonal Park & Rec job at the end of Summer... But nope, didn't take it because the Mrs chose money over my happiness.

You've got someone in an email being absolutely unprofessional directly to you, what's there not to get? Would she be ok with a superior talking to her like that? As an aside my wife put her 2 weeks in at her job yesterday, she was working as a paraprofessional and long story short (it's a wild one) she was at her breaking point. Me and several people she was talking to about it had to encourage her to leave, and even with her 2 weeks in the school doesn't seem to care un the slightest. Her mental well being is way more important than being strapped for cash for a couple weeks while she finds a new gig, its just money and jobs are a plenty...

 

I save every single email I receive and send. Not because of shit like this, but for my own record keeping in case I need to refer back to anything. So if shit gets "funky" because of this/her, I have everything I need to prove my point and make my case. I don't like to rat and tell on people, but if she keeps this up and keeps insinuating something I just might have to kick this up the chain. For now I'll sit tight, keep plugging away, start the job search more seriously next week and see what happens, and wait for this "meeting" come beginning of next year.

And agreed, mental well being is the most important thing above anything else, even money. Good for your Mrs to tell them to F off!

 

Be very, very careful here Nuno. Don't take out work frustrations on Melissa. Do not say something you'll never be able to take back.

 

LOL. I gotchu Dennis! I didn't say anything to her. The only things I've said to her is about what is going on, what happened, what is happening, and trying to explain to her my point of view and understanding of it. I've learned my lesson about saying things and not be able to take them back.

 

Keep your head up Nuno, sorry you have to deal with all that. Hope you find something more meaningful and where you are treated fair.

 

Been busy. Real busy. Decks 99% done but its cold out and I have run out of steam until it warms up. Finally got around to spraying the tacoma with woolwax, albeit not as good of a job as I usually do. 8-430 has been keeping me busy af too, usually working to 530 or beyond to keep up.

Heading to see family tonight for a Christmas party. Apparently the little brother has been a pita to my dad and stepmom since hes been back home from his first semester. So for Christmas, hes going to have to figure out how to get his cash present out of this.



Box made out of 2x8s. Glued together. 3 inch deck mates (counter sunk, glue applied inside screw holes, and topped with more wood glue). Filled with more 2x8s and taped on the inside board (very center) is his present. Going to make the little dbag work for it.

Would be easy for any half smart person to open; sawzaw 4 screws and a pry bar. But kids these days. Hope he struggles.

 

Even if you were a little snarky (I don't see it but written word and spoken word don't always convey the same thing of course) there's a better way they could have addressed it without being confrontational.

Or maybe they just aren't a people person. Or don't really know you. Or a million other things. Frustrating regardless..and let's just say I can relate re the other half having their own opinion of my career path as well.

She knows me... she's been around for about the same time as I have, maybe a bit longer. She wasn't my supervisor. She is just my temp supervisor since they are in the process of training someone to take my previous supervisor's position since she switched positions over the summer.
