Same here, began slowly looking November and picked up last month since taking about 10 days off to kill year end days and banged out about 5 applicants including cover letters, things take time. Indeed is very generic for searching, have many friends working there, i'd recommend going directly to the company posting and seeing when it was actually posted; you could be spinning your wheels on an application that hired someone weeks ago, or is no longer accepting apps.

Check out LinkedIn job postings, more relevant, you can look into the company posting and apply directly, or have a recruiter help you out, they skip the middle man and a lot of the phone interview questions are pre-screened with the recruiter and next or only in person/zoom call is with the person hunting for an employee. If narrowed down a field of interest more, i'd say hunt for a headhunter in that business and let them help you out(you still need to get the job but it cuts down so much damn work).

In your area-check out Belimo in Danbury, manufacturer of industrial valves and offer sales, product specialist, machinist and many engineering type roles. Boehringer Ingelheim, plenty of car dealerships in Danbury with different roles, I don't live up that way anymore but had considered it again for the right opportunity since i'm just down in South Norwalk.

Let me ask since i've been on and off with my job for a while, are you unhappy and want a fresh start in something more interesting, or did you just want more money and opportunity to start over?

 

Thanks for the info. I also look at the nearby town's sites to see if and what they are hiring for, and whenever I am out and about running errands or doing whatever I also keep my eyes open to see if any places are hiring that look like I might be interested in.

It's definitely a long process for sure, but I think I am more committed now to keep searching and looking than before. So hoping that my bigger commitment this time around pays off. Time will tell I guess.

Recently spent like $1,000 to replace heater/radiator hoses.

 

Ouch!
Lot of coin for a radiator!
Put a new aluminum radiator in the Nova couple years back and the price wasn't bad at all.

 

Not the radiator, just rad hoses, heater hoses, radiator cap and a water pump. Truck developed a leak and the person that fixed it says the more he touched..
I guess that will happen with everything being original.

 

Used my ARB tire plug kit for the first time today. Not on my truck.
The shop has a small trailer that it uses from time to time and I just plugged one of the tires today (it is now the spare).

Coworker got COVID… and I was in the same office as he was now I’m waiting for Bristol PD to open up the testing site across from City Hall…

Yeah it fucking blows. I have my fiancé and infant (almost 3 month old) at home, so this is not fun.

 

Yeah... that's the real shitty part; getting the kiddos sick and the disruptions it brings.
