Hey Connecticut, our everything hurts

Morning everyone

Dry brined the brisket overnight. Just put the rub on and tossed it in the smoker. Family coming over for dinner. Hope it doesn’t disappoint.



Now to grind some work out.

 

Try to keep the smoker out of the wind. Cheap Harbor Freight welding blanket

 

I have some moving blankets but havent gotten them back from when they went out on a tw express run. Mainly due to my laziness and not picking them up..

This smoker runs pretty hot. Had it set to 225 to preheat. Checked the bbq probe, and it read 260. I dialed it all the way back to 180, which got me to 225-230 that I am looking for. Im keeping a close eye on everything from my desk.

 

Exmark has been treating me well for the last 19 years or so! I used to have a small landscaping company and the only mower I kept was my Exmark walk behind as a parachute so if I ever needed a job I'd just go work for myself.

 

I love mine!

It's a 52" Turf Tracer X Series walk behind.

I know... a bit much for a small homeowner who cuts one or two yards as a "side gig". But I used one when I was helping my buddy a few years ago, when he decided to take up lawn mowing on the weekend to make some pocket change, and I fell in love with the machine. So I got one for myself when we stopped doing it because life got in the way.

 

I only kept the 48" turf tracer, but now that I'm older wish I had kept the 60" rider, but it was way overkill for what i thought we would need.

 

Yeah, definitely don't want that (overkill). I think 52" is perfect, at least for me. It can do my yard rather quickly, and when I ventured off into doing one or two yards on the side, it was the perfect size to do them as well.

 

52" is the perfect inbetween of getting it done quick!

Well this morning was a shit show, saw 3 different accidents on 95 headed down to the cape and watched a tundra rear end someone right behind me and slowly slide towards me while stopped at a red light... wasn't expecting that this morning

 

Looks like you made it out unscathed, thankfully. People need to chill out there.

 

Spent the whole time in 1st/2nd gear and only really lost it hitting a left turn up a hill, no issues. You'd think driving in the winter would be easier for people that, yknow, LIVE IN NEW ENGLAND??

 

No Matt, once the temps go above 50* for more than 3 days we forget all about snow and what is required to travel in it. Just like when it's 60 in the spring we all walk around in shorts but 60 in October we all think the winter from Game of Thrones is coming and B line it south or west..... EVERY YEAR

 

I like the style of those commercial ones too Nuno. My 42" Murray tractor isn't quite the latest, but gets the job done and I have a small yard. Pretty much overkill except in fall (leaf season)

BRISKET UPDATE!!!!

The suspense is killing me

 

Up to 178. Wrapped it up at 155. Family is getting here at 6 so its down to the wire given the cooling time.
