    So pulling the front flaps should make it so you don't rub at this size, I pulled mine before going up to 265/75r16 preemptively and never had issues. But at the same time I support lifting the truck :D

    Got my cat security https://www.getcatsecurity.com/c-tacoma-9 installed yesterday. Went fairly smoothly. Only 7/16" drill bit I had (4 new holes for threaded anchor nuts) was long so I had to jack up the front end a bit so the drill would fit between the ground and frame. Anyway, seems like pretty nice hunk of metal and should deter thieves enough to move on.

    Have a fun little project lined up for when the weather finally breaks.

    Gas gauge stopped working in the Nova last Summer.
    Tested and ruled out the gauge itself...that was OK.

    So, If I'm gonna go through the trouble of dropping the tank to check the sending unit, I just as well replace everything.

    The car has an original vented tank with charcoal vapor canister, a very early form of emission control.
    That was disconnected years ago. All the new parts are for the non-emissions non-vented early version.
    I'll get to remove and tidy things up when the vent lines/emissions crap is ripped out.

    New tank, I plan on painting it black and will look nice with the stainless tank straps. New sender, vented gas cap, wire harness for sender and strap/tank insulation.
    Took a while and from 3 different vendors, but I have all the parts I need except for some 3/8 fuel line.
