I made a combo that has side cabinets and top hutches. Still less than the price of a Snap-On box itself.

Big sticker guy Lots of wasted money

I just looked at that box at HF today, seems solid and well built. Years ago I bought a 10k box from Snap-on solely because it had a key fob(give me a break it was 1999 and that was big new tech), long story short I sold it back to them a month later because it haunted me how ridiculously expensive it was and bought an $800 one from the NAPA tool truck that has enough room. I am however on a hunt for another side cabinet like the one I have or taller for some more storage for spray cans/chemicals etc.toolbox1.jpg(don't mind the mess I was cleaning/reorganizing)

Just picked this up last week. I can’t say enough good things about it. My buddy has the snap on version and when he saw this the first words out of his mouth was “I got ripped off”. I don’t know if you need something bigger, I’m certainly no professional, but it’s perfect for the hobbyist\WW.

Jay you need this to go with your Dunkin Dorks sticker

(We got these from our neighbors for Christmas. They didn't realize what the shirts actually said until we opened them. They were mortified, we were laughing)

I’m going to get the HF 4-drawer cart and get a tool box once I make some money there. Probably from the ICON line at HF.

I see I'm not the only one who's "detail oriented" on tool storage :anonymous:

Love the craftsman wrenches Mine still say USA on them. They’ve never failed. Once they went over seas I switched to Sk and they’ve been a home run as well.

Side note…..anyone know how to get the stink out of old craftsman screwdriver handles?, ya know, the clear red and blue kind? Seriously they smell like vomit and I can’t work with this any longer. I’ve had them outside in the garage for two weeks now and they still smell like ass…..

I was told that next week is my last week. I get to start the new job earlier. Good thing I decided to get the tool cart tonight.

....And now I'm looking at weathergirls on the work computer. I'm sure they'll believe i was checking the weekend forecast from Telemundo.

Anyone in the Oxford/Seymour/southington-ish area know a good mason? I need to get my front stoop and walkway redone.

Mine are USA, most of those probably go back to when Reagan was president. Yikes I'm old. Agree on the SK, very underappreciated brand. I've got some SK ratchets, they feel good in your hand and are fine toothed.

I'm not falling for that. "Honey, why are you sniffing your screwdrivers? Well, this guy on Tacomaworld...."

True story: I'd hit the mute on the TV. Otherwise, if my wife heard salsa music she'd yell down the stairs " are you watching Telemundo!! "

Got a black one. My last tool box was black so I got the same color. I know, boring.

Playing around with the design tool and came up with this:

    tool box.jpg

    tool box list.jpg

I wouldn't want to guess what a similar Snap-On box would be.

The 5-drawer was cheaper because of their Spring Black Friday sale. I still wanted the 4-drawer and the 5 was out of stock anyway.

Those icons are nice. By the time I was ready for a new one they had discontinued the 36, which is the size that works for me. Good luck with it!

I just have the US General cart. I'll probably be buying just the Icon box above once I save up some cash.
I had a Matco box the same size and it was 3X the price!
