Forgot to mention something when I posted the pics of my retros.

I am missing one pc before I can attempt to install it all. It's the wiring harness.

Supposedly getting that today, so then I should have everything to attempt to the it all.

Kinda freaking out a bit about the wiring part to be honest... I see a lot of wires coming out of the housing, and not quite sure where/how it all connects.

Hoping once I get the lat part, and finally try to do this, it'll start to make sense somehow.

Is it plug & play? Should be. Depending on the kit, there may be relays that need power from the battery too. The halos probably will need to be spliced if you want them to be on when the parking lights are on.

Yeah, basically that. Waiting on one last part to make it plug and play, but need to splice something for the halos to be on with the DRLs, which is kinda freaking me out because I am not good at wiring anything, and I'm guessing I have to figure out/find out which wire I need to tap in to, and can't seem to find any info when I've searched for it.

Gotta take some more time to try and do some more searches I guess when the last part comes in... thinking about putting it together before actually putting it on the truck, kinda like a trial run, so I can make sure I know what plugs into what, and what else needs to be plugged into what.

 

Ok - here's how to do it. You need an automotive test light. Connect the test light to ground. Turn on the DRL's and probe from the back of the socket to see which wire is hot and which is ground. Next with the probe still attached, turn off the DRL's and make sure the test light goes out. The wire is color coded so write that down. Next turn on the turn signal and repeat to make sure the wire you think is it doesn't flash with the turn signals. Then trace that wire back to a convenient spot to tap into.

There was a 47 near me (Prospect CT); check that - there were two and the guy wanted $750 for both. Lots of rust on one, second one was restorable. Needs to be an early 50's, preferably a 53-55. The truck is for wifey.

Other preference is a 2 door 61-63 Falcon wagon - to go with my 63 convertible...

Should be able to. It looks like a screwdriver with a sharp tip and a long wire/clip to attach to the battery or ground.

One of two things... I'm either overthinking this way way too much and it'll be super easy to do and I'm "psyching" myself out, or it'll be complicated as hell and I'll lose my shit trying to do it.
