Still doing tests. I still have a lot to do.

Changed the oil on a 2022 Frontier today. Nice instrument panel. Didn't give it a long look. Also changed the oil on a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. It has a switch to disconnect the sway bar.

The Jeep Gladiator had a decal that I presume is the profile of a Willys. I said to myself, "not even close".

 

I've been hearing radio ads for some brewery in Bethel i've not heard of. Not that I recall the name...

 

Probably talking about Broken Symmetry.

It's OK. I've had their stuff before. They also serve food there. It's by the train tracks, where the train station is/used to be.

I just checked my online ADP account to see how much I'll be getting paid. It's the same as my last job (I thought it was going to be less) with the ability to make more because of flat rate.

I also thought that the drawers on my Husky tool box (from Home Depot) were sticking, little did I realize that they are soft closing. I was pushing them closed and it was difficult. Now I close them a little and they slide right in.

Probably been said, but have you actually sat down and spoken with the company telling them you are unhappy and am trying to ultimately leave? I know we communicated a few months or late last year on job hunting but don't recall what you were doing at the time.

Sometimes the clear communication can make a world of a difference and reopen your mind to enjoying work again after they have made some changes for you and or department and maybe a little more $$ and added benefit to assist you.

 

I have mentioned to my supervisor, or supervisors I should say since somehow I now have two, that things haven't been going very well and hinted at that.

Honestly I don't want to come straight out and say I want to leave. I think that "exposes" me too much, especially since I have a family, a mortgage to pay, bills, etc. Don't wan tto run the risk of getting booted "against my will" and be out in the street.

Got the pups out for a quick walk to the river after work. Pretty decent out despite the wind.

 

Total balancing act..always the risk if they are looking to lay off with that knowledge. Do you have anyone in the company higher up you could glean some advice from?

 

Not really, that I know of.

 

Made myself a simple and easy Google Sheets doc to keep track of my mowing for all 3 of my customers, and if they paid or not.

Gotta keep tabs on my work and payments now that I'm "big time". LOL

Lawnmower day today. Changing oil in rider and self propelled push mower . Then a little mowing for first time this year .

 

Love my classic Bronx USA-made Farberware percolator. Almost 50 years old & works like day one. It's going into semi-retirement though. Bustelo instant baby. Getting lazy in my old age.
