Hahahaha sooo I'm sitting in Cutting Crew waiting to get my hair cut and that actually made me LOL. Actually last time I had a public laughing spell like that it was the first time I saw the #BlackRiflesMatter... Hahaha and that had me almost crying laughing.

 

Ok so @Cativelense or @tgriff give me the run down again on the this filter that could potentially save me lots of $$$ again I know it was already talked about but I don't feel like searching for it.

 

From memory, I think the talk was the air pump mod. The filter is for the air pump. You shouldn't have on if your a '11 and a V6. They started in '12. The air pump is on the pass fender maybe half way between the front & rear of the engine bay. The filter is below in the 'products discussed' thread. You remove the foam and replace it with the new one. 4cyls have them and V6 from '12 to '15.

 

I'm not the one to ask lol, I know as much as you do. All i know is take out old foam filter and add new UNI filter

 

Got my CB radio installed and tuned. Shout out to @jc11taco89 for hooking me up with the antenna mount.

I had a huge scare but all is well now. On my way to meet Jon, my ABS and Traction control lights came on. Then my tachometer was reading 0rpm while driving and the temp gauge was all the way on cold even though the truck was up to temp. I was freaking out and assumed i ruined some wires in the main harness when going through the firewall to bring power into the cab. Turns out my ultragauge got messed up when the battery was disconnected and was messing with all my electronics. Just unplugged it and plugged it back in and everything is normal now.

 

Good morning fellas, does anyone have an SWR meter? I tuned my antenna using the built-in diagnostics in my radio but I heard that an external SWR meter is more accurate. Maybe if someone has one I could use it at the next meet-up?

 

See with my cheap 30$ cobra 19 didn't even need a tune wired it up, connected the antenna cable and I'm conversing with truckers hahaha

 

Hahaha no wonder you told me you didnt have any problems tuning it, you didn't even tune it I have great reception with people close by but i'd like to fine tune it to get the max range. I'm pretty sure you have to tune it regardless of what radio you have, if your SWR is high you can burn up your radio

 

Ya I did some research on it but not much at all my truck driver buddy said if the radio doesn't have an internal swr then don't worry about it. But he could definitely be wrong it wouldn't be the first time hahaha

 

As a follow-up to my last post, does anyone have an SWR meter that I and @jc11taco89 can use. It seems he is also in need of some tuning

You're right, there is. I just figured it would be easier to use a local one, I might just buy one to have it, theyre not expensive

 

Does anyone know of a good off road shop in CT? I had my frame swapped bc of the recall at the end of last summer. I spent some cash and bought an ICON stage 4 kit with tubular uca's and had the dealer install it when they put the truck back together. Anyways, I have this front end clunk that I have been trying to track down for months. I've been through numerous threads on here and am at a stand still now. I'm thinking of bringing it somewhere, just don't know where. Thanks for any ideas!

 

The only one I know of is in like Cheshire I think but they do mostly jeeps I believe.
