Spotted another OR so of course I had to park next to it - Barcelona Red was my 2nd choice after Quicksand

 

Hey @GPLarge how much do you know about radios, I'm wondering if my radio is even tunable with the swr meter I have just a cheap cobra 19

 

Where's the sliders man ?

 

I'll wait for him to chime in cuz im not an expert but its not the radio that you have to tune, its the antenna I believe

 

In the shed - waiting for the snow to stop and some warmer weather to come around. Clean the undercarriage and then mount them. Still have to get them painted. The POR15 looks good that you used, still not sure what I'll be doing.

 

I emailed them to see if they'll let us in anyway. I'll let you know what I find out

 

Ya mine are still at least a month out but I'm planning on doing the same as my bumpers por-15 and bed liner cause I really like how it came out.

 

Ooh really see I had no idea I thought it was the radio that had to be tuned. Either way mine works petty well there's a guy in Waterbury that I pick up all the time from my house and he's like 10 miles away that's pretty dam good I'd think

 

@jc11taco89 and @tgriff, Yeah you tune the antenna to get as close to a 1:1 match as you can that will help. Usually pick the middle frequency of the range (channels) that you will be in and tune to that and you should be good. Here is an article from Firestick on tuning a CB antenna.

I am a Ham radio operator but antenna tuning is the same for both.

So... likely a snow day tomorrow so will be working from home. Thinking about attempting this while home and working. We'll see how it goes, mostly because of the kiddos and the wife being OK with that, or not. If not then I'll probably have to play hooky one day.

Company closed for tomorrow however that just means working from home. Took Wednesday off. Going skiing up in MA with a buddy. Rented a nice wide pair of skis, should be a good time!
