Hey Connecticut, our everything hurts

Permanently mounted the XM antenna. Found a washer at the local hardware store called a “machine bushing”. It fits perfectly for the limited space that I have.

 

I did not get a printout. I’m the one that did the alignment so when I went to print, the toe readings were going crazy so I said screw it. Pretty sure I have the cams in the correct position, I can’t find a decent picture.

 

If it was you I have faith. Toe must just be out of whack.

 

I got the toe pretty close. The camber/caster was giving me an issue. I was running out of adjustment on the caster so I had to loosen both cams and turn each one a little to see if I could get them close to lifted specs.
I'm thinking the passenger side has more caster which will make it pull.

I busted the plastic cap on the top of my tailgate, anyone have a suggestion for a quality metal replacement?

That said, you can find molded plastic on ebay for $26

 

Thanks for this, I knew someone would know where to go. Does anyone have this cap? I assume it utilizes the existing screw holes on the bed? Doesn’t look like it grabs the slots on top of the tailgate so I’m wondering if it’s a little loose on the outside edge.

I did the basic google search and saw the cheap plastic options but I ripped the one I have so I figured an upgrade would be better. $125 seems reasonable

Still trying to make a convincing case with my wife for a high clearance rear bumper.

 

So I reached out last week to confirm if the LCAs are on schedule, this was Wednesday. They said they were still on schedule and that if was going to be earlier I would receive a tracking email.

Received a tracking email Thursday. Thought it was too good to be true until I saw UPS had the item.

Watching tracking last night and I saw an update that the sender requested it to be sent back.

Reach out to DK, and they said it was an error; some new guy sent out the incorrect part; still on schedule for 9/8.

What an emotional roller coaster.

 

We were coming home from Mohegan Sun last night around 11:45. Had just gotten on RT 2 from 395 and I was in the left lane.
Either a motorcycle or a scooter passed me.
Headed the wrong way.
On the shoulder to my left.

 

Holy shit . I had that happen in the middle of the night on I90 here in NY . I was driving a tractor trailer and a car was coming head on to my left like it was a 2 lane road . I called 911 and gave them my location and mile marker .

Until literally the last second I thought he was on the other side headed east...but something did seem off.
Low sloping nose on my car would have launched him into low earth orbit.

Mrs. SpruceMica was remarkably composed afterward.

 

Staying in Milford for a week soon. Local getaway / staycation kinda thing. I'm working the whole week but we're planning to beach etc as much as possible. Anything super exciting to do or on the "must-do" list out there?
