RIGHT AT THE CONNECTORS. The engine might have to be dropped. What saved me was my top had a plastic window and not the later year glass window. That let them push the roof in service position far enough forward to do it from the top...which is still a huge pain in the ass. I was fortunate they had some harnesses from blown race motors lying around and could cut connectors (and were willing) off those and splice them onto mine. Don't remember the final cost, but I think a couple grand. Could have been worse. Dealer would have insisted on harness replacement ($2800 part) which would have meant engine r&r (which I believe book time is something like 12-15 hours). So there you have it. I need to go make myself a drink after this.

I’ve seen and replaced many harnesses that were chewed upon.

Unfortunately gulf is not a top tier gas sold at cumberland farms. At any rate i figured it'd be dropping some before november.

I bought one of those zip up no air car bags. Drive on, cover, zip closed. Only drawback was couldn't leave it plugged in. I figure if you unzip enough for a cord, the mice are getting in. Hmmm, could'a put a sandbag over the cord/zip joint I guess. oh well.

Got woken up by my neighbor leaving for work.

Rain on and off yesterday so I wasn't able to do anything on the truck after work. Today looks to be nice so I can start on the brackets that I need and see how I can move the air pump.

Good morning CT. Happy Thursday.
Looks like I'll be able to move the air pump to behind the air filter housing, it's somewhat tight with the ABS module there and the engine harness that is coming out of the firewall. I'll also have to check hood clearance.
I'll spend more time on it during lunch today. I'll have to cut a couple tabs off the OEM bracket and then make one or two new brackets. Once the pump is relocated, I'll be able to mount an ARB single air compressor using a mount for a 6 cyl up front next to the washer fluid bottle.
