Happy Monday...the only one this week...so we've got that going for us

Good sunny Monday morning CT.

So it did stop raining yesterday and the sun started peeking through the clouds. I grabbed the stuff I still had in the truck and put in away (organizing it so I can find stuff easier).
By the time I was done with that, it started pouring again.

It should be sunny all week so I'll be able to finish my rear view mirror and get the aux fuse/relay box under the hood fully installed. I added connectors so it can be easily removed.
Then rain again this weekend, I'm seeing a trend here and I don't like it.

Bought an ATC tool roll. I bought a tool bag from HF but I’m not using it for its intended purpose which is carrying needed tools for what I’m working on now.

Think of it as an early birthday present.

 

Got the temp wires run. Now I need to cut all the tie straps. Do that when I get home.

 

Even as long as I’ve been working on cars. I still lay out the brake parts as they come off.

 

Me too...after I find them when they rolled away on the garage floor

 

I’m replacing a L/R axle seal. Good practice for when I do mine.

 

Haven’t used this tool in like 20 years.

 

Good morning CT. Happy Tuesday.
Ran the temp sensor wires into the cab and cut the ends of the tie straps. I used a lot of them.
Today will be getting power, ground and the two sensor wires ran to the connector in the A-pillar.
After that I'll need to start making a bracket for the junction block (aux fuse/relay box under the hood) and then more wiring stuff.

The weather this weekend looks iffy so I'd like to do as much as I can during lunch and after work.

Back from WV! Got the truck good and muddy on some trails by New River Gorge NP. Definitely need to get back down there as 1 day was not enough.

 

My bro in law used to live in WV, in Teays Valley.

I loved going down there to visit. People are super nice... a lot nicer than up here.

And one year we did some rafting as well.

 

Look what I get to do.

 

Can’t run the temp sensor wires like I wanted. I’m now modifying the harness that is in the a pillar, removing wires that aren’t needed and just using what I need. There will still be empty spots in the connectors for future stuff if needed.

The small A-pillar harness is done. I need to install it and then crimp on new terminals for the other half of the connector.

Happy Wednesday! Been really busy the last couple of weekends (Boy Scout camping trip in the Catskills then SNIRT Run in upstate NY last weekend). Happy to say my Taco performed flawlessly including towing the trailer with the ATV 200+ miles each way last weekend.
