Brought some tools home so I can get some truck stuff done. But first, coffee.

On a side note, anybody with a 2nd gen and navigation, when the person tells you "turn right" etc., does the voice come from the L/F speaker in the door or all the speakers? Mine seems to be coming out of all of them (left and right).

I spent much of my misguided youth there.

 

That's the same reason I switch to roll up. Usually I'd know I was going to need the full bed and leave it at home but two times I unexpectedly had to move something that required removal of the trifold and had to find a way to bungee it in the bed next to whatever I was hauling. I had a cheap Amazon roll up on my Ram and it worked really well but the initial install was a bit of a headache, for my Taco I got a Truxedo Lo-Pro and its not only better quality, it was super easy to install.

Another fun filled project.
Replace rotted gate, custom fit a-la Mr Chainsaw, and dog proof it from 3 high-flying Setters.

A *Public Service* announcement to my friends here:
If you want a fence, don't EVER consider a split rail.
Mine is about 300 feet and 25 years old.
For about the last 20 it's been constant work replacing rotted posts and rails.
AND, the guy who put the fence in used about a bag of concrete to set EACH post, and you can guess where they all rot.
Never again.
Next place will have a 6ft chain link.

 

To be fair - probably was too cold for those tires to be sticky.

Good morning CT. Happy Second Saturday!

Got a lot done yesterday but still so much to do. Cut a hole in my shifter surround for my 6 switch panel, cut it way too small so I have a lot of trimming to do. Got the wiring started for the fog lights, fixed the wiring for the switches below the radio (also reinstalled everything I removed to do it ) and properly grounded the switches (read that CH4X4 switches are not dimmable) and ran the wiring so that it will be easier to add the wires for the 6 switch panel. Did a little work on the fuse box but still waiting on parts before that could be installed.

Today I might tackle the inverter wiring, I'll have to pick up some gloves first, everything is coated in fluid film. I might also run the antenna wire for the GMRS.

 

OK. Mostly doing organizational stuff this morning, truck work later. I had the upper corner rear panels out of my truck for far too long. I took them out when I put sound deadening material on the roof.
I wanted to put them back in today and remove them once I sound deaden the rest of the cab (back wall, floor). I can't find them!
