Back in the late 80’s I put a Buick Wildcat engine in a 1980 Regal and a 400 in an 81 Monte. Both ripped pretty good.

This is my mine. 1985 Monte Carlo SS. Aggressive sbc 350 build. Fuel injected, etc. I don't have as much time with it as I'd like but that's how it goes unfortunately.

a School mate had something very like that. but the rear glass was fastback style. Only one I've seen with the sloped back-glass.

kid in college showed up with a brown one of those. T-tops. I was envious, it was a hot ride. But he bought it with life insurance money from his dad, so that wasn't so good.

Kinda a similar style to a Buick Regal. Pontiac 455 practically bolted right in.

    Yep, Aero Coupe.
Made in small amounts to satisfy NASCAR requirements. They had to make a certain amount available to the public in order to race as a production car.
    Superbird/Daytona did the same.

Lot of those older gm cars were that way. Most I've done on some back in the 60's and 70's was change the frame adapters for the motor mounts. I once installed a Pontiac 455 in a 6 cylinder lemans. Had to change the transmission, and rear end to accommodate all the extra torque.

For the longest time I wanted to put a t56 transmission from an older Vette and the clutch pedal assembly from an fbody in the Monte....it'd be a sweet 6speed but way too much work to do on my own lol.

Or the Grand Prix 2 plus 2 that was similar.

I had a couple of Monte Carlos (84, blue, 8 cylinder and 83, maroon, 6 cylinder)..82 Grand Prix 6 cylinder. Liked the blue one most. Nothing crazy, just teenage kid cars.

    Happy sunday everyone.

Finally got around to ordering the weatherproof connectors for the light. Was going to order the crimper and die set, until I saw the cost. @HAVOC what is your drink of choice? Going to pick you up something if your still down with letting me borrow yours. I could also bring everything to the next mod meet day so you dont have to worry about lending an expensive tool.

Back in the day I had a 66 gto that had a blownup 389. I was able to get a nascar super duty 421 with the dual 500 4 barrel carbs. We rebuilt the engine pretty close to the original specs, and put in the gto. I would drive to Lebanon valley on sunday's, and run a bracket class. Car never won a class, but it was one fast street car. Beat a lot of vetts with it.
