Body codes normally don’t set a check engine light. The code reader needs to be able to access the BCM (body control module).

 

And out of nowhere, the sound started working again.

WTF

Went to pick up my kids from camp, was talking to my cousin who was there to pick up his kid as well, was telling him how it didn't work and opened the car door to show him something else.

The car was on, and when I opened the door the radio was playing.

 

Sounds like some Voodoo shit going on there...

As I was saying, grab a hold of the harness that goes into the L/F door, move it around a bit with the key and radio on to see if there is possibly an open/shorted wire in there.
I've seen this multiple times while working at Jeep. Weird stuff would happen, most of the time with the key off.

 

Good morning CT. Happy September 1st and here's to a nice three day weekend.

 

I charged my AC after work yesterday. I'm missing the underhood label (ordered one) so I wasn't sure how much to charge.
I saw pictures of the label (not sure if the 4 cyl and 6 cyl are different) online and I put in the lower amount. I'll have a look at the label when I pick it up tomorrow. No biggie if I have to evacuate and recharge the system.

I have to move the air pump out of the way when I charge the A/C, it sits right above the low side port. Dropped a bolt when removing the air pump and it never hit the floor.

Getting the fuse box finished so I can install it for the last time. I'll be adding a couple constant 12V fuses and a couple IGN 12V fuses for future use.

I do have a 4 cylinder. I'm picking up the label from the dealer tomorrow. I should've ordered it when I replaced the plastic part on top of the radiator.

Rip Jimmy Buffett. Grew up listening to him. It was on non stop in my dads jeep with the top down. Tons of concerts with my family over the years. Named several of our pets after jimmy stuff- our St Bernard was named Cheeseburger, had a Newfoundland named Delaney.

Going to be playing a lot of him this weekend.
