Well, just finished my second snowblower repair of the day. Neither of which was mine. I'm going to start a handyman business and call it "I'm Everybody's Dad"

 

Would you make house calls, and work on other small stuff?

 

I'll operate it like my car advice hotline.

At Christmas my SIL asked for some car advice.
Me: "sorry, you're on the no advice list"
Her: "What?"
Me: "When you needed tires I looked up your trim level, found the proper size, researched and found a good value and sent you a link. You ignored my advice and bought something else. Now you're on the no advice list. It's like Santa's naughty list, except once you're on my list...you're on it...forever"
Her: "....."

 

I grew up in Branford, parents and grandparents are still there. My mother is from Milford and I spent a lot of time there at the other grandparents house. Both towns are fantastic!

 

Careful, she might come stay with you!

Guys, roads down in the southwest corner are absolutely horrible. Lots of accidents. A drive that usually takes ~25 minutes took well over an hour. Almost zero visibility on the Merritt. Plan extra time and extra caution if anyone of y'all hit the roads tonight.

 

Pretty slick ride home to Collinsville after visiting family in Bristol. Stay safe out there if you are out and about.

My pops had some heart issues earlier in the year, and my stepmom made him hire a plowing service to take care of their driveway. He said he had no need for this and dropped it off for us on Thursday.

 

I used to have that same machine until my FIL gave me his when he sold his house and moved to a town house. No complaints from me about that Troy Built. Served me well all those years. Only got rid of it because the one my FIL gave me was bigger, which helps with the driveway.

 

Kiddo had two soccer games this afternoon/evening in Trumbull at a place called insports.

Signed up for a futsal and a turf league because a father that was part of a summer tournament team we played with wanted my kid to be his goalie.

Won both games. Futsal won 7-4, and turf we won 9- 4. Kid played really well. Heck, the entire team did. The turf game was 6-0 at halftime that they took my kid out of goal and had him play in the field. Made really good saves in the first half when we were up 3-0 to keep the score at that, and then our team took raked up another 3 before halftime.

 

Seems like a really nice machine. Took a bit to get it started initially, not sure the last time he used it but assuming last year. Once I got it going, I ran it until the tank was empty and put some fresh fuel in. Started first pull yesterday and today.
