Hey Connecticut, our everything hurts

We bought our place just over 2 years ago and it was all paper for me.

 

All electronic last year for purchase of present house and sale of old house. Easy Peasy.

 

I got my house in 2018 and it was all paper signatures. The hand cramped up so much! Even in I think 2021 when I refinanced it was also mostly paper.


Remember me everyone?! For whatever reason on the work internet, this site has not been working. Not like it is blocked, just the site never loads. Then I always forget to jump on the forum after work hours.

As for the title of this thread, my back has gotten tremendously better since I last posted! All the PT and strengthening worked wonders, until I tossed the back out very lightly doing a 185lb squat at the gym, shoveling snow in VT, and putting down my chainsaw after removing two 8" diameter trees from my yard. Luckily all of those injuries resolved within 2-4 days!

Looks like I’m finally moving on from my 09 AC OR 6 spd that I bought new at Lynch toyota 16 years ago!
Picking up a 25 tundra Saturday, which means the taco will be put on the market shortly thereafter.

I figured I’d put a feeler here first for my local peoples to see if there’s any interest among my local enthusiasts.

Original frame in very good condition (regular fluid film application) There *was* one rotten spot that developed from the dreaded AC drain several years ago, but I had the cancer professionally cut out, treated, and capped by local toyota specialists Endangered Species in Springfield MA. They gave it a clean bill of health for the foreseeable future.
Vehicle maintained almost exclusively with oem parts. Records available
Followed factory maintenance(5k oil/filter , plugs, filters, coolant, trans/diff oils…..)
OEM front wheel bearings ~100k
New front brakes 165k, rears at 150k
ECGS diff bushing @165k (preventative)
~2.75-3” lift. 5100 shocks, OME springs up front, AAL+ Firestone airbags in back.
SPC UCA - fresh warranty replacements/on previous design the ball joint kept failing, supposedly they have fixed it ‍♂️)
Brand new Michelin Defender LTX 265/65/17 (damn these things and quiet and smoooooth!)
17” FN TRD Replica wheels - (lighter weight and 1” wider than the OEM version)
Pioneer touchscreen (wired CarPlay/AA), Focal 4ch Amp running Polk 6.5” components, and an 8” Polk sub.
Garaged the majority of its life. Body and paint in overall very good condition, with the possible exception that both rear qtrs have some minor dents. PDR could probably clean it up if it bothered you, but it’s a truck so…

Couple pics that are somewhat recent. Hopefully it will warm up enough this weekend to wash it and I will get some pictures of the frame and up to date walk around shots with the new tires.

I too am home sick. Body aches yesterday, tight chest, headache, tired/run down. Bit better today but I may keep my distance and stay home again tomorrow to not be "that guy" in the office.

 

It's admirable that you have concern for your coworkers health...not everyone does

When they forced the return to office on us, my boss's boss told everyone to stay home even if they feel a hint of illness. I will easily abide by that.

I'm already there! Now I need to be a useful human being again!



As of yesterday, the wife and I started planning to do some HUGE overlanding trip in the taco in 2027, so the planning of mods starts now! While I really wanted to build my own camper on the back like a GFC style, I just know it will never get used enough, so the hunt for a nice cap and a roof tent is in progress until then. I really would like a cap since it gives me more space back there, but I also do use the truck bed for stone, gravel, large items. So then I would also need to make some kind of hoist that would let me easily take the cap off a few times a year.
