I have been... But it hadn't rained in a while so it's starting to dry up in some spots. But hopefully all this rain today will help.

Yeah... Part of the yard is in the shade, and the other is in the sun.

 

God dam this week at work is horrible!!!! Is it Saturday yet..oh wait i gotta work that day too!

 

That sounds like a bad day. How would I be blowing antifreeze through my AC vents? I did feel the need to wash the windows yesterday. And I do see some h2o under the truck.

My Ac system needed a Freon touch-up this year too.

A small leak in the heater core will blow antifreeze mist onto the windows

Would it be obvious if it is antifreeze? Wouldn’t I have smelled something if it was?

 

I don't think I've smelled it in the past, but you may also notice a pool of liquid in the floor by the passenger seat

Real Freon is hard to get. That's the R22 stuff that works the best.
I still have a couple cans kicking around from "back in the day".
Think it'll be totally banned next year.

 

I used to make the drive yearly in my taco. Would take 10-11 hours and once I averaged 20mpg was the best I ever got in my truck my car. We stayed on the northern obx beaches, would drive up the beach 9 miles to the house, that was about 2 miles from Virginia. Worst part of the drive is once you see the signs for obx and get off the highway...there a long way to go. And then you cross the Wright bros bridge to RT 12 and it's a log jam of traffic. We"d make the drive at night and arrive there around 10am, go to sunset grill and eat and drink til we could get the keys to our house at 2pm. Then load up on groceries and head up the beach. It's an amazing vacation spot, by favorite so far. Here's a few pics of the 4x4 beaches at our rental house. Horses were in the yard.

 

My last trip to Corrola OBX took 14 hours to get home. We hit traffic and nasty t-storms in MD. The toll over the bridge is about $20 across the Chesapeake bridge.

Catching crabs all day in the bay and drinking beers made up for it. Enjoy!! Def get the truck on the beach

Which way did you take on the way down? Someone on the NE BS thread said to just take 95 all the way down into NC.

 

I went the route in your pic. Once on the banks it was still a 2hr drive north to Corolla.

Best meals were either caught or get stuff from the local fish market. And there was one tiny bbq place by the corola lighthouse
