Did my tundra today too. Nothing crazy just washed and used waxaddict tyre feeder on the tires and plastics. Not sure if you guys have heard of this stuff but it's amazing.

Hey fellow Nutmeggers!

I just ordered up some 16x8's and 265/75r16's. Any recommendations on a tire shop for mount and balance? This is my first time owning a truck, so I'm wondering if a more experienced installer is better with larger tires. If not, I was just going to go to Firestone in Brookfield because they're got good prices.

What's up man! Welcome aboard first of all. And secondly, HOWDY NEIGHBOR! Guessing you're right from my neck of the woods then. I live in Brookfield! I use Firestone for my wheels and tires as well. Can't say anything bad about the place. Always had good service, except once, but it was a busy weekend, so I'm sure they were a bit stressed. No biggie.

Are you from the Brookfield area then?!

I've used Firestone & Townfair & BJ's at that intersection of Brookfield. Townfair has made a bunch of mistakes. BJ's & Firestone were fine, but the wait times were pretty ridiculous. I'm now using Greco Tire & Auto on Mill Plain (off exit 4). In & out, owners on-site/involved, & when I took my Taco in thinking I needed new tires they let me know I just had a couple of tiny nails in my tires. A couple of plugs & I was out the door & they've not leaked since. Good by me.

Hmm.... might need to give them a try then, especially if you're recommending them so highly. Especially for an "issue" I've been having that I can't seem to get anyone to figure out.

 

I use Briggs tire in Norwalk they’re a good outfit. But I know a little further for some of you guys. Right between 7 & 95

 

Actually I work in Norwalk, maybe I’ll give them a call.

There’s Curries too obviously, but they rub me the wrong way.

Briggs put on my duratracs.

 

They’re on West Ave next to Acura. They lift cars with 4 jacks, no stands. It’s like a ghetto F1 pitstop.

 

By the way @ctmedic, @dcorbalis works in Newtown somewhere, so you might have seen him around.
