I have been there when I was much younger but it's been a long time.

Yeah, ideally I'd like to keep everything as legal as possible. I'm not trying to get into ANY hot water with any law enforcement organizations.

The Meadowlands in Rocky Hill has a gate up and a sign saying it's permanently closed by town ordinance. Not much excitement there anyway. I was through there a few years ago and it's just a dirt and gravel road. Scenic along the river but flat with nothing remotely challenging. A 2 wheel drive corolla could do it.

the most challenging part of what that list calls lamentation mountain is the muddy trail to get around the gate. otherwise it's the same. Grew up biking in those woods

One time I Was on the highway heading to Utah and got held up by sheep herders for 30 mins...... that and tractors on the highway during harvest is a pain. Good mountain trails here though

I helped my buddy move out to Big Sky in Montana about 6 years ago. I visited last year just to ski. Been itching to bring the taco on a road trip out west. So jealous of the amount of public land out there.
