Brought home a Craigslist free Nordic Flex Gold exercise thingy this am in the truck. All you soccerers & skiers & such are a bad influence. Going to see if I can get back into a regular exercising habit before spending money on the concept.

Got the test score letter from city hall yesterday... Good news and bad news. I passed it. Bad news is I'm number 52 on the list so as of right now I'm not onto the next step which is the interview. Not surprised to be honest. There were a lot of people there that day. A LOT.

Oh well. The search continues.

Happy rainy Sunday all.

Bit of a crappy weekend here. I came home Friday to find the 20 year old refrigerator door held open due to my other half not closing the crisper drawer all the way. Evidently it was running all day. Foods warm, thermometer says its 45F in there. Close the door and it won't get cold - compressor is running but not working on the refrigerator side.
Went to the appliance store yesterday. There's one on sale that's bigger and will be a tight fit but it'll work. Obviously I'm all for getting that one. Nope. We need a smaller size refrigerator and they're running about $1000.00 more! After much back and forth - fine I just want out of the store. Ok, we get a KitchenAid. I chose it as it looked like the ice maker was smaller in the freezer. Get home and I hear... "I'm not sure..."

But wait! There's more...

Wife goes out in the afternoon. I hear the dryer beep, pull out the clothes and... There's a hole in the dryer drum. This thing (Bosch dryer) has had a thunk when the drum rotates for a few years. Of course it started after the warranty expired. The metal drum was flexing and finally broke away.

As I've been told, things come in threes. I'm waiting for the third...

 

And I had tweaked my lower back earlier in the week...

This happened to us as well. Twice in fact.
Our fridge, microwave, and dryer all crapped the bed within 3 days.

Then, my father passed away, our favorite cat went missing the same day, and we had a miscarriage a week later.

God tests us in mysterious ways.

 

This gets a HUGE DIS-FUCKING-LIKE. Dang Paul! Hope things turn around asap for you.

Hey - it gave you hope for a month. It gave you another practice, you'll be more relaxed next time. Fate is just giving you practice so you'll be ready when the right opportunity comes along. Remember - Fate likes you. The why comes later.

We just replaced our Refrigerator about 4 mos ago,
Sure as s..t the micro wave is now acting up, its 13 yrs old so it's coming up for replacement.

They've come a long way in 13 years. Keep in mind if the new one is much more powerful, you'll have to relearn how to cook with it. Last time I updated the micro my heating times nearly 1/2'd. Next time I shop I'm going to have to limit the wattage allowance or I'll be blowing fuses. The current one dims the light when it's on - not good.
