I have the kombi 131 with the pole trimmer and brush. Use it for tree limbs and then in spring pushing back all the stone that was plowed off our driveway and parking lot. I really enjoy it. Been looking at the electric model but based off of my other electric stihl equipment, I'm not sure it will have the balls to push the stone back I need. Their electric saw, trimmer and blower I have are awesome tho. I can work super early in the morning and my neighbors and wife don't know I'm out there, which was the main motivation for going electric.

Think I mentioned this before, but all that is bullshit, I lived on a dirt road for two years with my taco and after brining it in for the TSB on the leafs it literally hasn't made a noise in in a year. Haddad Toyota in Pittsfield MA happily did my TSB. Chris Church is the service manager.

Nice!!! My buddy got the KM91R when we were cutting lawns, and I really liked using the hedge trimmer, and even used the pole saw at my house a few times. Having the Kombi really makes it easier because then you don't need a weed wacker, a pole saw, a hedge trimmer, etc... you can have "all in one".

I'm checking Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist everyday for the hedge trimmer attachment... found a couple, but kinda far away and for the price they are asking it's not really worth the drive for me. Even if they took a little less. Might just bite the bullet and buy a new one from the place down the road from where I work, that sells all this sort of commercial grade stuff.

That's great, but I'd rather not drive all that way for something that SHOULD be taken care of two towns over.

Usually when you buy Stihl stuff, if you buy some of their oil mix with it, they extend your warranty. And make sure you let them know its for residential use, on some products that changes the warranty period quite a bit in favor of the homeowner.

I have the Stihl battery pole hedge trimmer and a weed wacker. Battery lasts forever and I can start early in the morning without waking up the dead.

Well, with the exception of a tiny little squeak I can barely hear on the passenger side, the squeaks are completely gone. The Fluid Film worked instantly...

Let me know how you like this setup. I was thinking of going the Kombi route as my other equipment is starting to fail due to age (my Shindaiwa wacker/brush cutter is 30 years old).
Let me know how you like the Kombi system as I have been considering going that direction as my equipment is wearing out (my Shindaiwa trimmer/brush cutters is 30+ years old).

    Stihl kicks ass!
I keep hearing battery powered stuff is great too.
Nothing beats 90's and early 2000's Stihl equipment, it was before all the emissions junk that's going into them now.
    The power...oh the power!

When I needed to replace my crappy weedwacker, I was going to get the kombi system so that I could get the pole hedge trimmer. My next door neighbor has a kombi for years that he'd let me use to trim my hemlocks.

The salesman really moved me over to the battery line as I'm not using it regularly and having to deal with ethanol fuel is problematic. So I went with a single 300aH battery and a weedwacker and pole hedge trimmer. The weedwacker is the same head as the gas unit. The pole trimmer has the motor near the trimmer bar so it's better balanced. I have a 1/3 acre lot and the battery will last months of weekly use. When I trim the hemlocks, a single battery charge will more than trim 90 feet of hemlocks 14 feet high, both sides. For my use, I'll never go back to gas. They have their place but I don't use it enough to keep the fuel fresh and not gum up the carb.

This is my problem now, except for the chainsaws I don't use my gas powered tools enough anymore on account of the yard being the way I want it.
I just keep them empty after I use them though so I don't end up with carb issues.
Seems to be working over the past few years, unless my father borrows them:rofl:
Then I usually have to bring them back to life, he likes to break things:annoyed:
But I kinda like it, hard to explain.

IIRC, some of the Tundra guys are dealing with the squeak by jacking it up to spread the leaves & putting little plastic shims in between. But fluid film sure sounds like the better way.
