Yea ,that would be great . I’m due . At this point my next mod would probably be a Tom Woods one piece drive shaft ,then full skids . There I go dreaming again

 

Still on the hunt for the Stihl Kombi hedge trimmer attachment... striking out everyday.

I may have to bite the bullet and just buy a new one.

Buy new anyway. I'm probably just jaded because the last few things I've bought used have been complete crap...

 

I was very close to buying a 2018 GMC Sierra SLT before buying my 2019 Tacoma. We just couldn't agree on a price. They wouldn't budge and neither would I. I told myself the 10k+ in savings from buying a Tacoma can be used to buy another toy or to mod the Tacoma.

 

They didn't budge at all when we bought our Acadia. My wife tried, and tried, and tried some more... all we got was $500 off.



Buying a car just ain't like it used to be I guess.

 

We rented an Acadia here. Not a bad ride at all. Roomy and rides nice.

 

They re-did them for the 19 year model, and made them smaller for some stupid weird reason.

The year we have (15) is super roomy, and has the 3rd row seating as well, which actually is not cramped at all like most 3rd row vehicles (except minivans). I love love love the way that thing rides. Super smooth, decent power for the size it is, and handles (in my opinion) amazingly!

It's the Mrs' vehicle, and our "long trip" vehicle as well.

 

I didn’t even notice what year it is but I think it’s a 19’. It does have a 3rd row we put down for all our crap.

 

There’s a 3rd gen Taco police truck patrolling the beach. He was driving by when I had my phone on the charger while I’m on the balcony. Gotta get a pic LOL

 

Morning all. "Feels like 115F" Saturday. Woot. Never too hot. ;-)

 

Well at least when we get back from Myrtle it will feel the same LOL

 

So leaving our lake house yesterday evening I had just loaded up some belongings to my wifes Honda Pilot and we are back in the house about 8:45 when my wifes see's a Raccoon on the deck. Then a few minutes later my sons see's 5 or 6 of them near the water. We are watching them from inside the house as they were moving about the fire pit and the picnic table. My wife is concerned how we are going to be able to leave with all the raccoons outside. I figure they will take off once we make our presence known. So we head outside and they mostly scatter but they are not the quickest animal. My wife if freaking out that one is going to attack her as she and my son make their way over to the car. I wait by the door so I can turn off the light before locking the door and going to the car myself. I had just locked the door and was halfway to the car when my wife starts screaming there's a raccoon in the car. She had opened the rear hatch to put a few more things in and I guess a raccoon had crawled in through the drivers side window and was chowin down on leftover apple pie in the cargo area. She flipped out. The raccoon slowly moved over the rear seat and then into the driver seat. I opened the passenger door and yelled and then he climbed back out the window of the driver door. Again, these guys don't move fast but they are crafty as hell. So we won't be leaving our car windows open at the lake anymore. Good thing we had something to put in the cargo area or we would have unknowingly started driving with that guy in the back. That would have made for a panicked stop and evac somewhere along our route home.

 

Just sold the brush cutter that I was trying to sell.



Now I just need to buy the hedge trimmer attachment... looking more and more likely that I'll have ti buy a new one instead of finding a used one.

 

So we recently got a new manager at work (old one left in February and they are just finally replacing the position.) New manager is from one of our branch locations; from Philly.

Sent the new manager a request to work from home this Friday; “trucks going to be in the shop that day for service in preparation for a wheeling trip to PA.”

He responded with “fine by me, you heading to Rausch?”. He either knew about it from living in Pa, or wheeling; either way this guy just got a whole lot cooler in my book. It’s a welcome change from the typical people in my office.
